Click “New Request” to launch the “Apply Time Off”/ “Apply Leave” screen.
Enter the following field details:
Type |
From the drop-down list box, select the type of leave. The combo is loaded with all the applicable leave types. |
Available |
On selecting the leave type from the “Type” combo, the available balance gets displayed. |
Start Date |
The leave start date is defaulted as per My Preference settings. |
End Date |
The leave end date is defaulted as per My Preference settings. |
Start Session/End Session |
The combo is loaded with “Whole Day”, “First Session” and “Second Session” values. This is applicable in case of day based leave types. |
Start Time / End Time |
The start time and end time of leave (applicable in case of hour based leave types). |
The system displays the following field details:
Duration and Expected Return |
Duration of the leave and “Expected Return date from the leave will be computed on submit. |
Reason |
The “Reason” combo is loaded with reasons applicable to the selected leave type based on leave parameters. Note: This field is defaulted as per ‘My Preferences’ as long as the reason is applicable to the leave type. |
Backup Employee |
The “Backup Employee” control is a list edit control (which shows Employee Code, Employee Full Name and Position Title). Note: This list edit control supports ‘fetch as you type’ search on employee name. On selection of any row, the employee full name and employee code within brackets is displayed in “Backup Employee” field. |
Additional Reason |
Key in additional reasons, if any. |
Click “Submit Request” to raise a new leave request if all validations are successful.
Click on “Notify people” hyperlink to launch the ‘Notify’ screen.

The name of the backup employee. |
Leave Salary |
Applicable only if the parameter “Leave Salary Required” is checked for the leave type |
Click on the file name/image to view the attached supporting document.
Click on the Delete icon to delete the attached document.
In case the attached document needs to be replaced, click on the delete icon to remove the attachment and re-attach using the “Attach” button
Click “Update Request” button. The leave application is modified after successful validations.
Click “Change Notification Details” hyperlink to navigate to “Notify” screen. Any changes to the people to be notified of the absence or to the contact details can be made.
Note: The "Manage Time Off"/"Manage Leave" in My Time Off/My Leave widget also allows you to apply "FMLA Leave". This is applicable only for US clients.
