China Statutory Setup unit |
The statutory organization unit in China to which the login employee belongs. Mandatory. |
Currency |
The currency of that particular OU in the China Statutory Setup Unit. By default it is Yuan for this scenario. |

Employee Code |
The unique code given to the employee under the organization. Mandatory. Help facility available. |
Domicile |
From the drop-down list box. Select the required Domicile Status. The combo is loaded with “Chinese Nationals” and “Expatriates” options. The system displays “Select” by default on launch of the page. Mandatory. |
China resident No. |
The unique resident identification card number given to each citizen from People’s Republic of China. Mandatory. |
Effective Period |
Displays the effective period for which the data is valid. |
Basically the city/province for social insurance and housing fund is decided based on the employer’s registered city/province according to the employment contract. After completing the employee registration for social security and housing fund, the employee name, RIN, social security registration number (same as RIN), public housing fund registration number and supplementary housing fund registration number are required for processing monthly contributions.

This section provides the provision to declare the exemptions if any and the amount to be exempted to reduce the income tax for the individual. The charitable donations made to the qualified PRC registered charitable organizations with proper receipts are exempted from IIT (the cap for IIT exempted charitable donation is limited within 30% of the individual’s taxable income). There are also some special items may be exempted from IIT, such as exempted amount for severance payment, qualified travel and meal allowance, the only-child allowance (allowance for families with only one child and so on).
