Editing a Position
This page helps you to edit the position details.
Select the “Edit Position” hyperlink in the “Select Position to Edit” page.
The “Edit Position” page appears.
The system displays the following details at the top of the page.
Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. |
The system displays the following details in the "HR Set Up Unit Details" group box:
HR Set Up Unit |
The setup unit in which the HR setup component is deployed. |
Position Code |
The position code specified in the “Select Position to Edit” page. |
The system displays the values for the following position details. You can make the necessary changes.
No. Of Posts |
The required number of posts for the position. |
You can view the effective dates of the various versions of the record in the “History details” group box, if the record has been modified earlier.
Effective From |
The date from which the corresponding version of the record has been in effect. |
Effective To |
The date till which the corresponding version of the record has been in effect. The “Effective to” value will be blank for the current version of the record. |
Select the “Prev” and “Next” pushbuttons to view the previous and next set of values of the effective dates.
The system displays the following in the “Position Details” group box. You can make the necessary changes.
Position Title |
The title of the corresponding position. |
Position Description |
The description of the corresponding position. |
Inactive |
Select the check box if you want to make the position details not available for use in other activities. |
Department |
The code of the department to which the position pertains to. For example, HR, Finance. Help facility available. |
Job Code |
The code of the job to which the position pertains to. Help facility available. |
Request for Deletion of Latest Record. |
Select the check box if you want to delete the latest version of the position record. |
Specify the following details in the “Modification details” group box
Modification Option |
From the drop down list box, select the modification option, either “Correct” or “Update”. If you select the “Correct” option, the system modifies the record without any change in the effective date. If you select the “Update” option, you must specify a new effective from date and time. |
New Effective From |
The new effective from date value, if the modification option selected is “Update”. |
Comments |
The system displays the comments entered pertaining to the position details. Make the necessary changes. Zoom facility available. |
Select the “Edit position” pushbutton to save the details entered.
The system displays the following details in the “Record statistics” group box.
Created by |
The name of the person who created the position details |
Created Date |
The date on which the position details were created |
Last Modified by |
The name of the person who modified the existing position details |
Last Modified Date |
The latest date on which the position details were modified. |
