Select "Edit Local" from the left pane.
The “Select Local to Edit” page appears.
Specify the following details.
HR General Information Unit |
The organization unit in which the HR General Information component is deployed. Tell me more |
Language |
The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. This refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity. From the drop-down list box, select the language in which you require to edit the details. |
Country |
The country to which the local details you want to View belong. From the drop-down list box, select the required country name. |
State |
The name of the state in the specified country to which the local type belongs. From the drop-down list box, select the required value. |
Local Type |
The description of the local type, which you want to View. The drop-down list box displays the following values: “Local Type 1”, “Local Type 2”, “Local Type 3”. Local Type 1 represents “Country/District”, Local Type 2 represents “City/Town” and Local Type 3 represents “School/District”. Select the required local type from the drop-down list box. |
Select the local record, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
Use this method if you know the complete code of the required local.
Enter the complete code of the local in the “Local Code” field.
Select the "Edit Local" or “View Local” hyperlink beside.
The system displays the "Edit Local" or “View Local” page. All details of the selected record are displayed.
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the local code or nothing at all. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the local code contains. Search based on wild card characters is also supported. To narrow your search to the closest matching records, you can also enter search criteria for the description and name of the local also. In case you do not know anything, just click on search without entering any fields. The entire set of records will be fetched
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Local Code |
To view all local codes containing specific characters, type in a starting range of these characters along with the wild card character *. For example, if you type in LCL*, the system will display all the local records having the prefix LCL. |
Local Name |
To view all local names containing specific characters, type in a starting range of these characters along with the wild card character *. |
Local Short Description |
To view all local descriptions containing specific characters, type in a range of these characters along with the wild card character "*". |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note:
If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the
records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
available for the selected HR General Information unit.
The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the local records that satisfy the search criteria specified.
Local Code |
The unique code that identifies the local type. |
Local Name |
The name of the local type. |
Local Short Description |
The short description of the local type. |
Inactive |
The active or inactive status of the local type details. “Active” indicates that the local details are available for use in other activities and “Inactive” indicates otherwise. |
Select the hyperlink on the short description of the required local record in the multiline.
The system displays the "Edit Local" or “View Local” page.
Use this page to select the required local details record to edit.
