Select “Create Local” from the left pane
The “Create Local” page appears.
Enter the following fields:
HR General Information Unit |
The organization unit in which the HR General Information component is deployed. Tell me more |
Country |
The country to which the local type that is defined and created should be applicable. From the drop-down list box, select the required country name. |
State |
The name of the state in the specified country to which the local type being defined is applicable. From the drop-down list box, select the required value. |
Local Type |
The description of the local type that is be applicable to the specified country/state combination. The drop-down list box displays the following values: “Local Type 1”, “Local Type 2”, “Local Type 3”. Local Type 1 represents “Country/District”, Local Type 2 represents “City/Town” and Local Type 3 represents “School/District”. Select the required local type from the drop-down list box. |
Local Code |
A unique code to identify the local type. |
Local Short Description |
A short description for the specified local type. |
Local Name |
The name of the local type. |
Inactive |
The active or inactive status of the local type details. You can activate or inactivate the details whenever necessary. If the details are in active status, it indicates that they are available for use in other activities. |

To activate: Leave the check box blank.

To inactivate: Click inside the check box. |
Comments |
The comments you want to enter pertaining to the local type details. |
Select the Book icon beside the “Comments” field. The system displays a dialog box.
Enter the comments in the dialog box.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
Select the “Save” pushbutton at the bottom of the page.
Use this page to create a local type.
