The “Request Change in Qualification Information” page appears.
The system displays the following details.
Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. More Details |
Employee |
The name of the employee and the unique employee code pertaining to it. |
Request Status |
The status of the request. The values can be "Pending for Authorization", "Current", "Rejected". |
Pending With |
The code and name of the employee with whom the change request of the employee is pending with. |
Requested On |
The date on which the employee submitted the request for changing the identification information details. |
Authorizer’s Remarks |
The remarks of the authorizer pertaining to the change request. |
You can change any or all of the following details in the “Qualification Details” multiline.
Qualification Code |
The unique code of the qualification. This field is help enabled. You can access the help page on qualification code. The system displays the qualification code you selected using the help page as well as the values for the qualification description, level, type and specialization details applicable to the specified qualification code in the corresponding fields. |
Record Status |
The status of the record. The values can be "Request for Addition", "Request for Edit", "Request for Deletion", "Current". |
Qualification Description |
The description of the qualification, for example, MBBS or MBA , applicable to the selected qualification code. |
Relative Importance |
The importance of the qualification being added, with reference to the other qualifications available for the selected employee. For example, a qualification with a relative importance of 03 has more importance than one with 05. The system increments the current relative importance value by “1” and assigns it to the new qualification being added. For example, if the relative importance values of the qualifications, available for the employee are 01 and 02 respectively, the system will display the relative importance value as 03 for the new qualification being added. |
Qualification Level |
The corresponding academic level of the qualification such as, graduation, postgraduation etc., applicable to the selected achievement code. |
Specialization |
The specific area of study. For example, if the qualification specified is engineering, indicate the specific area such as, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering etc., to which the qualification pertains to. |
Qualification Type |
The type of the qualification, for example, License, Certification, Degree etc., applicable to the selected qualification code. Qualification type indicates whether the qualification pertains to a license, certification or degree etc. |
Institution |
The specific name of the institution, such as, Johns Hopkins University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology , which awarded qualification. |
1st Major |
The name of the subjects which the employee selected as his/her 1 st Majors, for example, Marketing, Finance, etc. |
2nd Major |
The name of the subjects which the employee selected as his/her 2nd Majors, for example, Mathematics, Physics etc. |
Month of Passing |
The month in which the employee completed the course. |
Year Obtained |
The year in which the employee completed the course. |
Duration |
The period during which the employee acquired the qualification. For example, if the duration is four years, enter “4” in this field and select the qualifying unit i.e., “Years” from the drop-down list box beside. |
Unit |
The qualifying unit of the duration specified. For example, if the duration is four years, specify “4” in the “Duration” field and select the “Years” option from the “Unit” drop-down list box. The system lists the values Hours, Days, Weeks, Months and Years in the drop-down list box. Select the required option. The value should not be more than 120, if the duration unit you use is “Month”. If any other duration unit is used, the system will convert it into months and perform the validation. |
Nature |
The nature of study, for example, part-time, full-time, distance education etc. |
GPA/Percentage |
The Grade Point Average or the percentage of marks obtained by the employee. |
Maximum |
The maximum marks against which the GPA or percentage of marks obtained by the employee is calculated. If a value is entered for the GPA or Percentage, it is mandatory to specify the maximum value. |
Sponsored |
Specify whether the qualification is sponsored or otherwise. Select “Yes” or “No” from the drop-down list box . “Yes” indicates that the Achievement was sponsored, “No” indicates otherwise. |
Rank |
The rank obtained by the employee, for example, first rank, second rank etc. |
Class |
The class obtained by the employee, for example, first class, second division, distinction etc. |
From |
The date from which the qualification will be valid. For example, if the qualification pertains to a license or certification, it will be valid for a particular period of time only. In such an instance, you should mention the date from which the qualification will be valid. |
To |
The date till which the qualification will be valid. |
Highest Qualification |
From the drop-down list box, choose "Yes" if the qualification you entered is the highest, otherwise choose "No". If you choose "Yes", you must enter the reason in the "Remarks" column. |
Remarks |
The remarks you want to enter pertaining to the changes made. |
Select the Book icon beside the “Employee Remarks” field. The system displays a dialog box containing the remarks that were entered previously, if any.
You can view, modify or delete the content.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
You can modify an existing qualification information record using either the “Correct” or “Update” modification options. If you select the “Correct” option, the system modifies the record without changing the effective dates. If you select the “Update” option, you are to provide a “New Effective From” date and time. The existing record will become ineffective from one minute prior to the “New Effective From: value. The system opens a new record effective from the “New Effective From” value specified.

Modification Option |
Select the required modification option, either “Correct” or “Update” from the drop-down list box. |
New Effective From |
Enter the date and time from which a new version of the record should be created with the modifications you made. |
Select the “Save Request” pushbutton at the bottom of the page.
Select the “Delete Request” pushbutton at the bottom of the page.
