4 Select “Request to Create Secondary Assignment” from the bottom left of the multiline.
4 The “Request to Create Secondary Assignment” page appears.
4 The system displays the following fields.
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. More Details. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Date of Joining |
The date and time, in which the selected employee joined the organization, is displayed. |
Assignment No |
The secondary assignment number that has been allocated for an employee, in sequential order. The value in this field is system generated. |
Assignment Type |
The type of assignment undertaken by the employee. Note that you can create secondary assignments for employees of all employee types i.e., regular, contract, volunteer etc. |
Assignment Effective From |
The date and time from which the secondary assignment defined for the employee, must be activated. The date and time of joining is displayed in this field, by default. |
Assignment Effective To |
The date and time until which the secondary assignment defined for the employee, must be in effect. |
Position |
The position code for the selected employee. You cannot define the position for which you do not have access permissions. Help available. |
4 Select the Get Position Details pushbutton to view the details related to position.
4 Specifying organizational attributes
Employment Unit |
Select the employment unit of the employee from the drop-down list box. |
Regulatory region |
The region governed by a common law. Select the required regulatory region from the drop-down list box. |
Business Unit |
Select the business unit of the employee from the drop-down list box. |
Work location |
The work location where the organization is located. Select the work location of the employee from the drop-down list box. |
Company |
The company to which the employee belongs. |
4 Specifying hierarchy point
Hierarchy Short Description |
A short description for the hierarchy. Select the description of the hierarchy from the drop-down list box. |
Hierarchy Chain |
The hierarchy code of the employee. Help available. |
Department |
The department code to which the employee belongs. Help available. |
Cost Center |
The description of the cost center to which the function’s costs are currently assigned. This field is displayed based on the function code, you specify. |
4 Specifying job attributes
Job |
The job code for the selected employee is displayed. |
4 Select the Get Job Details pushbutton to view the details related to job.
Job Description |
The job type for the selected employee is displayed. Example: regular, part time. |
Job family |
The job family to which the selected employee belongs. |
Grade set |
Select the grade set code for the selected employee. |
Job Classification |
The job classification for the selected employee. Example: permanent, temporary, contract. |
Workers Compensation code |
The code pertaining to the workers compensation. |
Standard Hours |
The standard hours for which the employee is required to work. |
Medical check Required |
Indicate whether a medical check is required for the selected employee. |
Tipped |
Specify whether the employee is tipped or not. |
Job Level Description |
The description of the job level to which the selected employee belongs. |
Workers Compensation code |
Specify the code pertaining to the workers compensation. |
Standard Hours |
The standard hours for which the employee is required to work. |
Job Level |
The level of the job to which the selected employee belongs. |
EEO Class |
The Equal Employment Opportunity classification, which is captured as part of Job Information. |
Grade |
The grade code for the selected employee is displayed. |
Working Condition |
The working condition of the employee’s work place. |
Salaried/hourly |
Specify whether the employee is paid on a salary basis or hourly basis. |
Work Experience |
The work experience of the employee. |
Medical check requirements |
The medical check requirements pertaining to the employee. |
Mobile |
The mobile number of the employee. |
FTE |
Full Time Equivalent of the job (If the regular working hours are 8 hrs/day, and if two employees are employed part-time for 4 hours and 6 hours respectively, then their FTE would be 0.5 and 0.75 respectively). |
Full time/part time |
Specify whether the selected employee is working on a full time or part time basis. |
Regular/Temporary |
Specify whether the selected employee is hired on a regular or temporary basis. |
4 Select the book icon beside the "Comments" field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.
4 You can view, modify or delete the content.
4 Select the "OK" pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.
4 Select the "Cancel" pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.
4 Select the “save" pushbutton to save the details entered.

Union Affiliation |
The union to which the employee belongs, in the organization. |

The group of the union to which the employee belongs. |

The description of the union given by the user. |
Comments |
Any comments pertaining to the secondary assignment. |
