Basics of using a typical web page

Using online help

You can record license information pertaining to the employee.

The “Record employee license information page” appears 

The system displays the following:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields must be entered in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format set for the login organization unit in the “Enterprise Modeling” business component.

The system displays the following in the “Employee details” group box:

HR Set Up unit

The HR setup unit applicable to the login employment unit.

Employee

The unique employee code and name of the employee. The system displays the value selected in the “Select Employee” page.

Employee Type

The type to which the employee belongs.

Date of joining

The date on which the employee joined the organization

SSN#

The social security number of the employee.

License #

The unique license number of the employee (Alphanumeric, 15). Mandatory.

License Description

The description of the license (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory.

License Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the license belongs. The system lists all the quick codes defined for the quick code type “License Category” in the “Maintain HR Quick Codes” activity of the “HR Setup” business component.

Date Of Issue

The date on which the license is issued to the employee (Date Format). Mandatory.

Ensure that this date is not later than the current system date.

Issuing Authority

Use the drop-down list box to select the issuing authority for the license. The system lists all the quick codes defined for the quick code type “Issuing Authority” in the “Maintain HR Quick Codes” activity of the “HR Setup” business component.

Permanent / Temporary

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the license is issued on a permanent or temporary basis. The system sets the field to “Permanent” by default.

Valid From

The period from which the license is valid (Date Format). Mandatory.

Ensure that this date is not earlier than the “Date of Issue”.

Valid Till

The period till which the license is valid (Date Format). Mandatory.

Ensure that this date is later than the “Valid From” date.

Status of License

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the license. The system lists the options “Revoked” and “Suspended”.

Revoke / Suspension Date

The date on which the license is revoked or suspended (Date Format). Entry in this field is mandatory, if the license status is “Revoked” or “Suspended”.

Ensure that this date is within the validity period and is not earlier than the “Date of Issue”.

Remarks

Any remarks pertaining to the license details of the employee.

To record the skill details for license

Line #

Use the drop-down list box to select the line number of the license number. The system lists all the row numbers of the “License Details” multiline, on clicking the “Edit Employee License information” pushbutton.

The system displays the following details pertaining to the line number selected above.

License #

The corresponding license number

Issuing Authority

The issuing authority of the license to the employee.

Skill Code

A unique code to identify a skill to which the license number is applicable (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the value entered here is a valid skill code as defined in the “Maintain Skills” activity of the “HR Setup” business component.

Help facility available.

License Class

Use the drop-down list box to specify the license class.  The system lists all the quick codes defined for the quick code type “License Class” in the “Maintain HR Quick Codes” activity of the “HR Setup” business component.

Object type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the object for which the skill details must be updated. The system lists the options “Aircraft Model” and “Base Part #” and sets the field to “Base Part #” by default.

Aircraft model #

The unique number pertaining to the aircraft model (Alphanumeric, 20). Entry in this field is mandatory, if the object type is “Aircraft Model”.

Base part #

The unique number pertaining to the base part (Alphanumeric, 40). Entry in this field is mandatory, if the object type is “Base Part #”.

 Note: Ensure that the skill code entered is unique for the aircraft model/base part number entered.

ATA #

The ATA # specific for the employee (Alphanumeric, 16). In other words, the employee will be allowed to perform procedures on the systems that belong to the ATA number specified here.

Valid From

The date from which the license is valid for the skill and aircraft model/base part number combination (Date Format). Entry in this field is mandatory if the skill code is entered.

Valid Till

The date till which the license is valid for the skill and aircraft model/base part number combination (Date Format). Entry in this field is mandatory, if the skill code is entered.

Ensure that this date is later than the “Valid From” date.

Note: Ensure that the validity period specified here is within the validity period specified for the corresponding license number in the “License Details” multiline.

Reference #

The reference number pertaining to the skill details (Alphanumeric, 40).

Remarks

Any remarks pertaining to skill details of the employee (Alphanumeric, 255).

To save the details

On selecting the “Edit Skills For License” pushbutton, the following are displayed in the “Skill Details” multiline.

Model/Part# Description

The description  of the model or the part number.

Skill

A short description of the grade.

Skill Type

The type to which the skill belongs.

 The following details are displayed in the “Record Statistics” group box.

Last Modified by

The name of the person who modified the employee license details.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the employee license details were last modified.
