Time and Production Booking – A Summary of the Activity
The ‘Time and Production Booking’ activity enables the user to book the time and production output against the project. This screen is used by Employee to book against the relevant project in which he is assigned. “On behalf of” booking is enabled for project manager and team leader who can book on behalf of all the employees who are mapped in the project. Timesheet supervisor can book on behalf of those employees for whom he is mapped as supervisor in Employee Project Assignment.

Time and Production Booking
ØSelect the “Time and Production Booking” activity under “Time and Production Booking”.
The “Time and Production booking” page appears.
ØEnter the following field details in the header:
Organization Unit |
From the drop-down list box, select the required option. The combo is defaulted with the login OU for you to choose. Mandatory. |
ØThe system displays the following in the header:
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. Note: All dates are derived from the user preference and displayed (for ex. DD/MM/YYYY, DD/MMM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY). |
ØEnter the following in the header:
Project |
From the drop-down list box, select the required project. The system loads all the projects to which the employee is assigned. Employee assignment is referred from Time management - Time sheet Billing and Administration - Employee Project Assignment screen. Mandatory. Note: 4 The project is loaded if the login user is time sheet supervisor in any project. It would load even though he may not be mapped as the employee as he can do on behalf of booking. Similarly the project is loaded for project manager and team leader. 4 The project is loaded only if Project Employee Activity Task Mapping and BPO Project Attributes are defined for the project. (SRP BPO > BPO project execution > Project employee activity task mapping and SRP BPO > BPO Project Execution > BPO project attributes). 4 If the billing rule of the project is internal project then load if Project employee activity task mapping is defined. BPO project attributes is not applicable for internal projects. 4 Project manager and team leader mapping is done in project master screen |
Booking |
The “Booking” combo is loaded when “Project” combo is selected. When “All” option is selected from ‘Project’ combo then only ‘Self’ option is loaded here. Mandatory. Note: 4 If a specific project is chosen and the login user is not a time sheet supervisor or project manager or team leader then this combo is loaded with only self. 4 If the login user is both employee and either a timesheet supervisor or project manager or team leader then this combo is loaded with both self and on behalf of option. 4 If the login user is only a timesheet supervisor or project manager or team leader and is not mapped to the selected project as employee in employee project assignment then the booking combo is loaded with Select and on behalf of option.

Name |
From the drop-down list box, select the name. The combo is loaded with employee names (employee codes) when “On Behalf of” option is selected in the “Booking” combo. Mandatory. Note: 4 For Timesheet Supervisor who is not a Project Manager or Team Leader, only the employees for whom the login user is marked as timesheet supervisor in ‘Time management > Timesheet Billing and Administration > Employee Project Assignment’ is loaded. For project manager and Team leaders all the employee mapped in the selected project in employee project assignment is loaded. 4 This field is disabled when “Self” option is selected from the “Booking” combo and enabled when “On Behalf of” option is selected from the “Booking” combo. 4 On selecting an employee from the “Name” combo, the employee related activities and tasks mapped are loaded |
Advance Search
The “Advance Search” section is collapsed on screen launch. The user is allowed to expand this section if he wants to enter additional search criteria.

The combo is reloaded when the options in ‘Project’, ‘Booking’ and ‘Name’ combo is selected. It loads saved activity / process / transaction for further filtering |
Site |
From the drop-down list box, select the required option. The combo is loaded with the values “Onsite”, “Offshore” and “Onshore” for you to choose. Note: The values loaded here are same as the values loaded in “Site” combo in “Time Management > Timesheet Billing and Administration > Employee Project Assignment” screen. |
Status |
From the drop-down list box, select any one of the following statuses to retrieve the time booking entry details of a specific status. 4 Authorized 4 Draft 4 Pending for Authorization 4 Rejected |
Date Range |
The date range for which you require to view the time booking entry details of the logged in employee or employee who is selected in name combo when “On behalf of” option is selected. |
Click “Show Details” pushbutton. The system displays the following details in the multiline based on the search criteria:
ØSummary above Multiline:
Pending for Authorization: The count of records which are submitted and pending for authorization is displayed
Rejected: The count of records which are rejected is displayed
Date |
Enter the date. Mandatory. Note: The date should not be greater than the system date. |
Project |
The Project against which the time booking record is saved. This is displayed on save. Note: The user has to mandatorily select a project to save a Time and Production Booking record. |
Activity/Process/Transaction and Task |
This combo is loaded when the options in ‘Project’, ‘Booking’ and ‘Name’ combo is selected. Mandatory. Note: This combo gets loaded with relevant values of login user when “Self” option is selected from the “Booking” Combo or when “Project” combo is selected. |
System |
This field is displayed on saving. System is assigned in SRP BPO – BPO Project Execution – Project Employee Activity task Mapping |
Billable Units |
This field entered by the user and cannot be Zero or negative value. Note: 4 The user is allowed to enter this column only when the attribute is mapped to the relevant project selected for time booking. The Attribute mapping to be referred from SRP BPO > BPO project execution > BPO Project Attributes. 4 BPO Project attributes will be defined only in the created OU of the project. This is not applicable for internal projects. |
Non Billable Units |
Enter the non-billable units. This cannot be a negative value or Zero. Note: 4 The user is allowed to enter this column only when the attribute is mapped to the relevant project selected for time booking. The Attribute mapping to be referred from SRP BPO > BPO project execution > BPO Project Attributes. 4 BPO Project attributes will be defined only in the created OU of the project. This is not applicable for internal projects. |
Pended Units |
Enter the pended units. This cannot be a negative value or Zero. Note: 4 The user is allowed to enter this column only when the attribute is mapped to the relevant project selected for time booking. The Attribute mapping to be referred from SRP BPO > BPO project execution > BPO Project Attributes. 4 BPO Project attributes will be defined only in the created OU of the project. This is not applicable for internal projects. |
Carry Forward Units |
Enter the units that are Carry-forwarded. This cannot be a negative value or Zero. Note: 4 The user is allowed to enter this column only when the attribute is mapped to the relevant project selected for time booking. The Attribute mapping to be referred from SRP BPO > BPO project execution > BPO Project Attributes. 4 BPO Project attributes will be defined only in the created OU of the project. This is not applicable for internal projects. |
No Charge Units |
Enter the no charge units. This cannot be a negative value or Zero. Note: 4 The user is allowed to enter this column only when the attribute is mapped to the relevant project selected for time booking. The Attribute mapping to be referred from SRP BPO > BPO project execution > BPO Project Attributes. 4 BPO Project attributes will be defined only in the created OU of the project. This is not applicable for internal projects. |
Item Attribute 6,7,8,9 and 10 |
Enter the item attributes. This cannot be a negative value or Zero. Note: 4 The user is allowed to enter this column only when the attribute is mapped to the relevant project selected for time booking. The Attribute mapping to be referred from SRP BPO > BPO project execution > BPO Project Attributes. 4 BPO Project attributes will be defined only in the created OU of the project. This is not applicable for internal projects. |
Billable Hours Spent |
Enter the billable hours spent. This cannot be a negative value or Zero. Note: This field cannot be entered for internal projects as billing is not applicable for internal projects. Internal projects are not associated to any PO |
Non Billable Hours Spent |
Enter the non-billable hours spent and cannot be a negative value or Zero. |
Work Item |
Enter the work item. |
Analysis Code |
Enter the analysis code. |

Role-Location |
This field is defaulted with “Select”. Mandatory. Note: 4 This combo is loaded on selection of values in ‘Project’, ‘Booking’ and ‘Name’ combo. 4 This combo loads with values associated to login user when “Self” option is selected from “Booking” Combo or when “Project” combo is selected 4 The role and location assigned to employee is referred from employee project assignment and the same is concatenated and displayed. 4 Location is not applicable for internal projects. |
Site |

Authorizer Remarks |
If the authorizer has given any feedback or remarks, it appears in authorized and rejected records. |
Status |
The status of the booking record is displayed. Note: 4 When a new record is saved, the status becomes “Draft”. 4 After submitting, the status becomes “Pending for Authorization”. “Submit” is workflow enabled and is routed to authorizer. 4 If the authorizer rejects a record, the status becomes “Rejected”. 4 If the authorizer authorizes a record, the status becomes “Authorized”.

Summary
The following details are displayed in the “Summary” section:
Over Booking |
The over booked days count. Note: This value is arrived by counting the number of days in which the hours booked is greater than expected standard hours. Displayed in Days. “Standard hours per day” is defined in HCM. Standard hours for holidays are Zero. So any booking on holidays would be considered as over booking. |
Under Booking |
The under booking days count. Note: This value is arrived by counting the number of days in which the hours booked is lesser than expected standard hours. Displayed in Days. Working days and standard hours to be derived by referring to holiday calendar associated to the employee in HCM. |
Booking Not Done |
The booking not done days count is displayed. Note: This value is arrived by counting the number of days in which the booking is not done. I.e. booking not done on expected working days excluding holidays including Saturdays and Sundays. Displayed in Days |
Leave & Time Overlap |
The leave and time overlap days count is displayed. Note: This value is arrived by counting leave days in which time booking has been done. Concatenate "Days" and display. Leave tables of HCM referred for the overlap. |
Billable Hours Booked |
The billable hours booked is displayed. This is the summation of billable hours spent.

Non Billable Hours Booked |
The non billable hours booked is displayed. This is the summation of non-billable hours spent. |
Billable Units |
The billable units and billable UOM is displayed. Note: In ‘SRP BPO > BPO Project Execution > BPO Project Attributes’, the specific project attributes billability is marked and UOM is mapped to billable attributes. The billable UOM along with the summation value is displayed. This is not applicable for internal projects. |
