Maintain BPO PO/SOW Master – A Summary of the Activity
This page allows you to record the PO/SOW and project details for the contract line number. You can record or modify the PO/SOW details for the selected contract line number. You can specify whether approval is required for additional location or not.
Maintain BPO PO/SOW Master
Ø Select the “Maintain BPO PO/SOW Master” activity under the component “BPO Project Execution”.
The “Maintain BPO PO/SOW Master” page appears.
Note: This page is accessible only if the SRP BPO applicable parameter is set as “Yes” in Set Process Parameters activity of HR Process Parameters component under HR Setup.
Ø Enter the following field details in the header:
Organization Unit |
From the drop-down list box, select the login organization unit. The login OU is defaulted on launch of the page. Mandatory. |
Customer |
From the drop-down list box, select the customer code and customer name. The combo is loaded with customers who are applicable in the relevant login OU from finance customer masters component. On selecting the customer, the customer name is defaulted. Mandatory |
Date Format |
The date format is displayed. For Example: DD/MM/YYYY, DD/MMM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY. |
Ø Enter the following field details in the “Contract – PO / SOW Details” section:
Contract Number |
From the drop-down list box, select the contract number and contract name. The combo is loaded with various contract numbers and contract dates. Mandatory. |
Contract Name |
On selecting the contract number, the contract name is displayed. |
Line Number |
From the drop-down list box, select the line number and service description. The combo is loaded with line numbers and service descriptions created in the contract. Mandatory Note: If PO / SOW are already created for the selected line number then the system retrieves and displays already saved details in the header and multiline. |
Service Description |
The service description of the selected line number is displayed. Note: If Customer/Contract/ Line number is selected, then the service description of the line number against the latest amendment version is displayed. When amendment number is changed the related service description in that version is displayed. |
PO / SOW No |
The PO / SOW number of the contract. |
Contract Amendment Number |
From the drop-down list box, select the contract amendment number. The combo is loaded contract line number related amendment version details. The system defaults the latest version and header information pertaining to the latest amendment number is displayed. |
Contract Amendment Description |
Enter the amendment description of the contract amendment version. |
Amendment Effective From Date |
The effective date of the contract amendment number is displayed. |
Customer PO Number |
The customer PO number related to contract line number. |
Billing Rule |
Enter the relevant Billing rule associated to the contract line number is displayed. |
Rate Card ID |
Enter the Contract Amendment Version's Rate Card ID is displayed. |
Physical SOW Execution Status |
From the drop-down list box, select the physical SOW execution status. The combo is loaded with values as in “Maintain Quick Codes” activity of “HR General Information” component. Mandatory. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. |
Specialty |
Enter the specialty details related to contract line number. |
Remarks |
Enter the remarks related to contract line number if any. |
Need Approval for Additional Location |
Check this box to indicate if approval is required for additional location. |

Note: At least one line in the multiline of this tab must be entered.
Ø Enter the following details in the multiline:
Effective From Date |
Enter the effective from date from which the project starts. Mandatory. Ensure that the entered date cannot be before line number effective from date. |
Effective To Date |
Enter the effective to date of the project. Ensure that the entered date cannot be beyond contract expiry date. |
Cost Center Code |
From the drop-down list box, select the valid cost center code and description. The combo is loaded with cost center codes and descriptions as defined in same OU in “Management Accounting” component under Finance. Mandatory. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. Note: The cost center code cannot be repeated. The system throws an error message if the selected cost center is already created as project under another service line or under another contract service line. |
Project Description |
The cost center description is defaulted based on the selected cost center. Mandatory. |
Project Code |
The code of the project. Click the data hyperlink to launch the “BPO Project Attributes” page. |
Ø Select the required row and click “Save” to save the entered details.
The system saves the PO/SOW details and generates the PO/SOW number for the selected contract line number.
Note: On save for the first time, the contract line number is converted to a PO / SOW number and cost center code is converted to a project code. The project description assigned to one project cannot be repeated for another project.
Tab: Discounts & Penalties
Ø Enter the following details in the header:
Project |
From the drop-down list box, select the project code and project description. The combo is loaded with already saved project codes and descriptions. Mandatory. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. On selecting the project, the effective from and to date is displayed |
Effective From |
The effective from date of the project is displayed. |
Effective To |
The effective to date of the project is displayed. |
Ø Enter the following details in the multiline:
Discount / Penalty Type |
From the drop-down list box, select the discount and penalty type. The combo is loaded with values as in “Maintain Quick Codes” activity of “HR General Information” component. Mandatory if any other column in this multiline is entered. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. |
Description |
Enter the description of the discount and penalty type. Mandatory if “Discount / Penalty Type” is selected. |
Remarks |
Any remarks regarding the discount and penalty details. |
Ø Select the required row and click “Save” to save the entered details.
Tab: Attachments
Ø Enter the following details in the multiline:
Attachment Type |
From the drop-down list box, select the attachment type of the contract. The combo is loaded with values as in “Maintain Quick Codes” activity of “HR General Information” component. Mandatory if you want to attach a document. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. |
Attachment |
Click The “Upload File” dialog box appears. Ø Enter the file ID and click “Browse” to attach the document. Ø Click “Upload” to attach the document. Ø Click “Delete File” to delete the document. Click the Data hyperlink to view the attachment. |
Remarks |
Any remarks related to attachments. |
Ø Select the required row and click “Save” to save the entered location details.
The system displays the following details in “Data History” section:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the PO/SOW details. |
Created Date and Time |
The date and time on which the PO/SOW details was created. |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the PO/SOW details. |
Last Modified Date and Time |
The date and time on which the PO/SOW details were last modified. |
