BPO Project Attributes – A Summary of the Activity
This screen is applicable for the SRP BPO flow and will launch only when the SRP BPO applicable parameter is set as Yes. The screen is not applicable for Internal Projects. For other billing rules the Project attributes and Project level billing / invoicing related attributes are set in this screen. The project attributes assigned in this screen signifies the classification of production units reported in time and production booking screens. The billability and UOM of each attribute is defined in this screen

BPO Project Attributes
Ø Select the “BPO Project Attributes” activity under “BPO Project Execution”.
The “BPO Project Attributes” page appears.
Ø Enter the following field details in the header:
Organization Unit |
From the drop-down list box, select the required option. The combo is defaulted with the login OU for you to choose. Mandatory. |
The system displays the following in the header:
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. Note: All dates are derived from the user preference and displayed (for ex. DD/MM/YYYY, DD/MMM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY). |
Ø Enter the following in the header:
Project |
From the drop-down list box, select the required project. The system loads all the projects for which project definition has been defined in the respective OU. Only login OU related projects and projects depending on role access rights are loaded here. The system displays “Select” by default on launch of the page. Mandatory. The combo is loaded with the projects whose billing rules are as follows: 4 Flat FTE/Hourly 4 Productivity based FTE/Hourly 4 Transaction based 4 Transaction Slab based 4 Outcome based 4 Outcome Moving average. Note: 4 If the internal role assigned to the login deployment role is “Project Management Office (PMO)” then load all the projects created in the respective OU. 4 If the internal role assigned to the login deployment role is “Project Manager (PM)” then filter the projects which are created in the respective login OU and further filter the projects to which the login user is mapped as Project Manager and Program Manager in the respective OU. |
Finance Book |
From the drop-down list box, select the required option. The combo is loaded with the finance book related to the login OU. |
The system displays the following in the header:
Billing Rule |
The billing rule associated to the selected project is displayed on selecting the project. |
Effective From Date |
The effective from date associated to the selected project is displayed on selecting the project. |
Effective To Date |
The effective to date associated to the selected project is displayed on selecting the project. |
PO/SOW Currency |
The currency of the PO/SOW associated to the project. |
Ø Enter the following field details in the header:
Effective Period |
For existing saved projects, the values are loaded in this combo on selecting the project. This combo gets reloaded on save. Note: When project is selected it is defaulted with latest effective period details and screen will show the latest record. |
Modification Option |
From the drop-down list box, select the required option. The combo is loaded with the values “New”, “Correct” and “Update”. The value gets loaded in this combo on selecting the project. |
New Effective From |
Enter the new effective from date. If the Modification Option is, 4 New – This date is defaulted with the project start date and cannot be modified. 4 Correct – This date cannot be entered and 4 Update – This date is mandatory. Note: If the modification option is “Update” then the new effective from date should be greater than the previous new effective from date. |
Ø Enter the following field details under “Project Attributes” section:
Target |
Enter the target value. This value cannot be zero or negative. The combo next to this option loads UOM which is user defined quick code. Note: This field is mandatory for “Productivity based FTE/Hourly” billing rule project. |
No. of FTE |
Enter the number of FTE. This value cannot be zero or negative. Note: This field is mandatory for “Productivity based FTE/Hourly” billing rule project. |
Target Frequency |
From the drop-down list box, select the required option. The combo is loaded with the values “Monthly”, “Daily” and “Hourly” options. Note: This combo is mandatory for “Productivity based FTE/Hourly” billing rule project. |
Billable FTE Cap |
Enter the Billable FTE Cap value. This value cannot be zero or negative. Note: This field is mandatory for “Productivity based FTE/Hourly” billing rule project. |
FTE Cap Applicable |
Select the checkbox to make FTE Cap as applicable. |
Billing Frequency |
From the drop-down list box, select the required option. Note: When project is selected this combo is reloaded with the option “Monthly” |
Holiday Master |
From the drop-down list box, select the required option. The combo is loaded with the “Holiday Master Codes” and “Holiday Master Descriptions”. Active holiday masters are loaded in this combo. Mandatory. |
Standard Hours per Day |
Enter the standard hours per day. Mandatory. |
Ø Enter the following field details in the multiline:
Item |
From the drop-down list box, select the required item. The combo is loaded with various options for you to choose. Mandatory. Note: At least one value in the multiline must be entered. |
UOM |
This combo is loaded with user defined quick codes. Mandatory. Note: This field is mandatory when other columns are filled in the multiline. |
Billability |
From the drop-down list box, select the required option. The combo is loaded with the values “Yes” and “No”. Mandatory. Note: This field is mandatory when other columns are filled in the multiline. |
Remarks |
Key in any remarks or feedback, if any. |
Outcome Based
This section is visible when Outcome based project is selected in “Project” field.
Ø Enter the following field details under “Outcome Based” section:
Minimum Guarantee |
This field is mandatory when the selected project’s billing rule is Outcome based. This value cannot be zero or negative. |
Per Month |
This is a display field. This signifies the fact that minimum guarantee for a month is defined in this screen. |
Client Margin % |
This field is mandatory when the selected project’s billing rule is Outcome based. This value cannot be zero or negative. |
Outcome – Moving Average
This section is visible when Outcome based project is selected in “Project” field.
Ø Enter the following details under “Outcome – Moving Average” section:
Threshold Limit % |
This field is mandatory when the selected project’s billing rule is ‘Outcome Moving Average’. This value cannot be negative. |
Periods for Moving Average |
This field is mandatory when the selected project’s billing rule is ‘Outcome Moving Average’. This value cannot be negative. |
Periods for Threshold Exemption |
This field is mandatory when the selected project’s billing rule is ‘Outcome Moving Average’. This value cannot be negative. |
Ø Click “Save” pushbutton to save the details entered.
