This page allows you to view the status of the business function group that precedes the selected business function group. The business function groups that are available in an organization unit must be closed sequentially for the finance book to be closed. This page allows you to view the status of the business function groups before closing the selected business function group.

The “View Preceding BFG Status” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Business Function Group

The name of the business function group. The system displays “MAC” by default on launch of the page.

Preceding Business Function Group

Use the drop-down list box to select the name of the function group that precedes the displayed business function group. All the business function groups that precedes the displayed business function group will be available for selection in the ascending order.

Finance Book

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book in which the business function group postings have been made. All the unique finance books that have been deployed in the organization units will be available for selection in the ascending order.

Year Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the MAC year for which you want to view the details of the preceding business function group.

 Period Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the MAC period for which you want to view the details of the preceding business function group.

The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Business Function Group” multiline :

Preceding Business Function Group

The name of the business function group.

Finance Book

The code identifying the finance book in which the financial transactions have been posted.

Financial Period

The code identifying the financial period.

Closed Status

The status of the financial period. It could be “Open”, “Provisionally Closed” or “Closed”.

Closed Date

The date on which the financial period has been closed.

Closed By

The login ID of the user who has closed the financial period.
