Viewing MAC period closure status
This page allows you to view the status of the MAC financial periods defined for the selected MAC financial year in a finance book. The system retrieves and displays the details of the MAC financial year along with its status. The system also retrieves the details of the various MAC financial periods that have been defined for the year along with its status and the date range for which it has been defined.
Select the “Period Closure Status” link at the bottom of the “Close MAC Calendar” page.
The “View Period Closure Status” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Business Function Group |
The name of the business function group. The system displays “MAC” by default on launch of the page. |
Enter the following fields:
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book for which you want to view the closure status of the financial periods. All the finance books that have been deployed in the login organization unit and are in the “Provisionally Closed” or “Open” status will be available for selection in the ascending order. |
Year Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the MAC year for which you want to view the details of the financial period. |
Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the details of the year.
The system displays the following in the “Year Details” group box:

The code identifying the MAC financial year. |
Description |
The textual description of the MAC financial year. |
Zoom facility available |

Year Status |
The status of the MAC financial year. It could be “Open”, “Provisionally Closed” or “Closed for MAC”. |
The system displays the following in the “Period Details” multiline:
Period Code |
The code identifying the MAC financial period. |
Description |
The textual description of the MAC financial period. |
Start Date |
The date on which the MAC financial period begins. |
End Date |
The date on which the MAC financial period ends. |
Period Status |
The status of the financial period. It could be “Open”, “Provisionally Closed” or “Closed for MAC”. |
