This activity allows you to set the function defaults for the system to follow while calculating the exchange rate during an “Inventory ” transaction and while creating a tax journal. By default the system sets its own values. These functional defaults can be modified according to the requirements of the user. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified function defaults.
Select the “Set Function Defaults” link under the “Finance Book Processing” business component.
The “Set Function Default” page appears.
Enter the following fields:

Default Exchange Rate Type |
Use the drop-down list box to set the default exchange type to be used for retrieving the exchange rate during an inventory transaction and while creating tax journals. All the exchange rate types that have been defined in the “Exchange Rate” business component will be available for selection in the alphabetical order. |
Click the “Set” pushbutton to save the function defaults.
The system saves the function defaults. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified details.
The system displays the following:

The login ID of the user who last modified the function defaults. |
|
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the function default was last modified. |
