Creating Exchange Rate Type

This activity allows you to create new Exchange Rate Types. Tell me more.

Select the “Create Exchange Rate Type” link under the “Exchange Rate” business component.

The “Create Exchange Rate Type” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Status	The status of the newly created exchange rate type. The status is updated to “Active”.
	Active – indicates that the exchange rate type is ready for use.

Exchange Rate Type	A unique code identifying the type of the exchange rate (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory.
Exchange Rate Description	A unique textual description of the exchange rate type (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

The system saves the newly created type as a user defined exchange rate type.

The system displays the following:

Created By	The login ID of the user who created the exchange rate type.
Created Date	The date on which the exchange rate type was created.

“Function Defaults” must have been set in the “Set Function Defaults” activity of the “Exchange Rate” business component.
