This activity allows you to map organization units to a company. Tell me more.

The “Maintain OU Properties” page appears.

Company Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the company for which you want to map an organization unit. All the companies that have been defined in the installation and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection.

The system displays the following in the “Company Identify” group box:

Company Name

The name of the company.

Operator Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the operator. All the operator codes that have been defined in the “Common Masters” business component and that are in the “Active” status would be available for selection.

Logo File Name

The path in which the file containing the logo of the company is available and the name of the file (Alphanumeric, 50). If a logo file is already available for the company, the system displays the same by default.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to set whether you want to map or unmap the organization unit from a company. You can select from “Mapped” or “Unmapped”.

 
  • Mapped – indicates that the system will retrieve all the organization units that have been mapped to the selected company.

 
  • Unmapped – indicates that the system will retrieve all the organization units that are yet to be mapped to any company.

 

The system displays “Mapped” by default on launch of the page.

The system retrieves the details of the organization units that have already been mapped to the company if “Mapped” is selected in the “Status” field.

The system retrieves the details of organization units that have not been mapped to any company if “Unmapped” is selected in the “Status” field. If the organization setup has not been completed, the system also retrieves the details of organization units that have been unmapped from a company earlier.

If a station has been mapped to the organization unit, the system also retrieves the same.

Org Unit #

The code identifying the organization unit (Alphanumeric, 40).

Note: The organization unit entered in this field must not be mapped to another company.

The system displays the following in the “Org Unit Details” multiline:

Org. Unit Name

The name of the organization unit.

Station Name

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the station. All the station codes that have been created for the default station type in the “Common Masters” business component will be available for selection.

Address ID

The code identifying the address (Alphanumeric, 12). Mandatory.

 

Press <Enter> key.

 

The system retrieves and displays the details of the entered address ID in the respective fields.  The system also retrieves the station name if a station has been mapped to the organization unit earlier.

 

Help facility available

The system displays the following in the “Org Unit Details” multiline:

Description

A textual description of the address ID.

Address

The complete mailing address of one of the organizations various locations.

City

The city in which one of the organizations location is available.

State

The state in which the city is located.

Country

The country in which the state is located.

The system saves the association details of the selected entities like the company, operator code, organization unit, station and address ID.

Note: You cannot unassign an organization unit if the organization setup has been completed.

The system unmaps the selected organization unit from the company.

The system displays the following:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the association.

Created Date

The date on which the association was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the association.

Last Modified Date
