This page allows you to assign multiple currencies to a company. Tell me more.
Select the “Assign Permitted Currencies” link at the bottom of the “Create Company” page.
The “Assign Permitted Currencies” page appears.
Enter the following field:
Company Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the company for which you want to assign currencies. All the companies that have been created and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection in the ascending order. |
The system displays the following in the “Company Identity” group box:
Company Name |
The name of the company. |
Enter the following field in the “Currency Details” multiline:
ISO Currency Code |
The code identifying the ISO currency in which the company can do its transactions (Alphanumeric, 5). Mandatory. This currency code must be a standard ISO currency code defined in the “Create Currency and Country “ activity of this business component and must be in “Active” status. |
Press <Enter> key. |

The system retrieves the description of the currency code in respective field. |

The system displays the following in the “Currency Details” multiline:

The description of the ISO currency code. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the code identifying the currency for deletion.
Click the “Assign Permitted Currencies” pushbutton to set the currencies as permitted currencies.
The system saves the currency details along with the company as the permitted currency entity. The system date is also stored as the date from which the selected currencies are effective. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the currency details.
The system displays the following:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who assigned the currency. |
Created Date |
The date on which the currency was assigned to the company. |

Assigning currencies – An overview
These assigned currencies can be termed as the permitted currencies in which the transactions of the company can take place. The currencies that have been set must have been predefined and must be in “Active” status. The system date is assumed as the date from which the currency can be used in transactions. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the currency details.
