Specify Screens and Reports – Select Component
Overview
This activity enables you to specify the screens and the reports for a selected component. You can search for existing list of components, select a component and specify the user interface layout for the screens and reports for it. You can also specify the error messages for the User Interface tasks in the screens through this same page.
Click the “Specify Screens and Reports” activity under the component “EDK – User Defined Screens”.
The “Specify Screens and Reports – Select Component” page appears.
To search for existing list of components in a business process
Enter any or all of the following search criteria:
Business Process Name |
The name of the business process by which you want to retrieve the list of components. You can specify the name of the business process fully or partially using the “*” as wildcard character. All the business processes similar to the value entered are retrieved and displayed. |
Business Process Description |
The description of the business process. You can specify the description of the business process fully or partially using the “*” as wildcard character. All the business processes with descriptions similar to the value entered are retrieved and displayed. |
Base Business Process |
Click the checkbox to retrieve only the list of base business processes. Unselect the checkbox to retrieve only the list of UDS business Process |
Component Name |
The name of the component whose details you want to retrieve. You can specify the name of the component fully or partially using the “*” as wildcard character. All the components similar to the value entered are retrieved and displayed. |
Component Description |
The description of the component whose details you want to retrieve. You can specify the description of the component fully or partially using the “*” as wildcard character. All the component descriptions similar to the value entered are retrieved and displayed. |
Base Component |
Click the checkbox to retrieve only the list of base components. Unselect the checkbox to retrieve only the list of UDS components. |
Click “Search”.
The list of existing components are retrieved and displayed in the “Component Information” multiline based on the specified search and filter criteria:
Business Process Name |
The name of the business process. |
Business Process Description |
The description of the business process. |
Base Business Process |
The system displays “Yes” or “No” to indicate whether the business process is a base business process or not. |
Component Name |
The name of the component. |
Component Description |
The description of the component. |
Base Component |
The system displays “Yes” or “No” to indicate whether the component is a base component or not. |
To proceed carry out the following
Click the checkbox next to a component and click the “Specify User Interface Layout” link if you want to specify the user interface layout for the selected component.
The “Specify User Interface Layout” page appears that enables you to define the design preferences for the selected component.
Click the checkbox next to a component and click the “Specify Errors” link if you want to specify the error message details for the selected component.
The “Handle Message” page appears that enables you to define the error message details for the selected component.
