Help on Message

This page allows you to search the required message details for a specified component. The user can search by specifying the message name, range of message codes and severity. Based on the search criteria specified, the system retrieves and displays the corresponding details and displays them in the multiline. The selected message and its corresponding details are transferred to the required page when it is confirmed.

Click next to the “Message Code” field.

The “Help on Message” page appears.

The following details are displayed in the header from the main page:

Business Process	The description of the business process.
Component	The description of the component.
Language	The selected language in which the message has been defined.

Enter the following search criteria:

Message	The description of the message whose details you want to retrieve. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*” as wildcard character.
Message Code From	The starting code in the range from which you want to retrieve list of message codes.
Message Code To	The ending code in the range up to which you want to retrieve list of message codes.
Severity	Use the drop-down list box to select the severity by which you want to retrieve the list of message codes. The system displays “Continue” and “Critical” as options.

Click “Search”.

The system retrieves and displays the message details based on the specified search and filter criteria in the multiline.

Message Code	The code that identifies the message.
Message Description	The description of the message.
Severity	The severity is displayed as “Continue” or “Critical”.

Click the checkbox next to the message code in the multiline to select the message details.
Click “OK” to transfer the data.
