Help on Extension

This page allows you to search the required extension user interface details for a component. The user can search by specifying the base business process name, base component name, base activity name, base user interface name, base control name, UDS business process name, UDS component name, UDS activity name and UDS user interface name. Based on the search criteria specified, the system retrieves and displays the corresponding details and displays them in the multiline. The selected extension user interface and its corresponding details are transferred to the required page when it is confirmed.

Prerequisites:

4 Base screen extension should have already been defined for the component in the Activity > Specify Screens and Reports > Specify User Interface Layout, page > Specify Data Transfer.

Click next to the “Base User Interface Name” field.

The “Help on Extension” page appears.

Enter the following details in the header:

Base Business Process Name	The name of the base business process for which you want to retrieve the list of extension user interfaces. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*” as wild card character.
Base Component Name	The name of the base component for which you want to retrieve the list of extension user interfaces. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*” as wild card character.
Base Activity Name	The name of the base activity for which you want to retrieve the list of extension user interfaces. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*” as wild card character.
Base User Interface Name	The name of the base user interface for which you want to retrieve the list of extension user interfaces. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*” as wild card character.
Base Control Name	The name of the base control for which you want to retrieve the list of extension user interfaces. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*”as wild card character.
UDS Business Process Name	The name of the UDS business process for which you want to retrieve the list of extension user interfaces. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*”as wild card character.
UDS Component Name	The name of the UDS component for which you want to retrieve the list of extension user interfaces. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*” as wild card character.
UDS Activity Name	The name of the UDS activity for which you want to retrieve the list of extension user interfaces. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*” as wild card character.
UDS User Interface Name	The name of the UDS user interface for which you want to retrieve the list of extension user interfaces. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*” as wild card character.

Click “Search”.

The system retrieves and displays the extension user interface details based on the specified search and filter criteria in the multiline.

Base User Interface Name	The name of the base user interface.
Base Control Name	The name of the base control.
UDS User Interface Name	The name of the UDS user interface.
Base Business Process Name	The name of the base business process to which the base interface belongs.
Base Component Name	The name of the base component to which the base interface belongs.
Base Activity Name	The name of the base activity to which the base interface belongs.
UDS Business Process Name	The name of the UDS business process to which the UDS interface belongs.
UDS Component Name	The name of the UDS component to which the UDS interface belongs.
UDS Activity Name	The name of the UDS activity to which the UDS interface belongs.

Click the checkbox next to the base user interface in the multiline to select the extension user interface details of the base user interface.
Click “OK” to transfer the data.
