Help on UI Control

This page allows you to search the required UI control details for a specified user interface in the component. The user can search by specifying the grid name, grid column name and control name. Based on the search criteria specified, the system retrieves and displays the corresponding details and displays them in the multiline. The selected UI control and its corresponding details are transferred to the required page when it is confirmed.

Click next to the “UI Control / Attached UI Control” field.

The “Help on UI Control” page appears.

The following details are displayed in the header from the main page:

Component	The description of the component.
Activity	The description of the activity in the component.
User Interface	The description of the user interface in the activity.

Enter the following search criteria:

Grid Name	The name of the grid whose details you want to retrieve. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*” as wildcard character.
Grid Column Name	The name of the grid column name whose details you want to retrieve. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*” as wildcard character.
Control Name	The name of the control whose details you want to retrieve. You can specify the name fully or partially using the “*”as wildcard character.

Click “Search”.

The system retrieves and displays the UI control details based on the specified search and filter criteria in the multiline.

Control Name	The name of the UI control.
Control View Name	The name of the UI control view.
Grid Name	The name of the grid pertaining to the UI control.
Grid Column Name	The name of the column in the grid pertaining to the UI control.

Click the checkbox next to the control name in the multiline to select the control details.
Click “OK” to transfer the data.

Note: When this help screen is used for the Specify User Interface Layout Help/Ljnk for which the attached screen is base, using the Attached UI Published Link Name (available in the Specify User Interface) the controls are displayed in the grid. In this case when the help is launched from Data Flow into UDS then the controls available for the selected link name having flow direction as In/Out or Out are applicable and will be displayed in the grid. When the help is launched from Data Flow out of UDS then the controls available for the selected link name having flow direction as In/Out or In are applicable and will be displayed in the grid.
