Entering dynamic filter criteria
This page allows you to enter the dynamic filter criteria for executing the view.
Select the “Execute View with Filter Inputs” link in the “Select View” page.
The “Dynamic Filters” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:
View Name |
The name of the view. |
View Type |
The type of the view, which could be “Adhoc”, “Audit” or “Report”. |
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed. The system supports the “DD MMM YYYY” format. |
Time Format |
The format in which the time fields are displayed. The system supports the “HH:MM:SS” format. |
The system displays the following field above the multiline:
Procedure Name |
The name of the population procedure associated with the view. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Procedure Inputs” multiline:
Parameter Name |
The name of the parameter. |
Mandatory |
Indicates whether the parameter is mandatory or not. |
Enter the following field in the “Procedure Inputs” multiline:
Parameter Value |
The value of the parameter (Alphanumeric, 1000). This is based on the type of parameter. |
Enter the following details in the “Filter Inputs” multiline:
Left Brace |
Use the drop-down list box to set the filter criteria using the left braces. The condition enclosed within the innermost braces would be executed first. |
Column Alias |
Use the drop-down list box to select the column name, on which the filter is to be applied. |
Filter |
Use the drop-down list box to select the filter criteria. The options include “Equal To”, “Smaller Than”, “Greater Than”, “Smaller Than or Equal To”, “Greater Than or Equal To”, “Between”, “Any Of”, “Starts With”, “Ends With”, “Contains”, “Blank”, “Null”, “Not Equal To”, “Not Between”, “Not in Any Of”, “Does not Start With”, “Does not End With”, “Does not Contain”, “Is not Blank” and “Is not Null”. |
Value |
The value used for filtering the records in the view output. The data type of the value entered depends on the column data type. |
The system displays the following field:
Enumerated Value |
The filter value defined for the view, when the filter is selected as “Between”, “Not Between”, “Any Of” or “Not in Any of”. |
Enter the following fields:
Right Brace |
Use the drop-down list box to set the filter criteria using the right braces. The condition enclosed within the innermost braces would be executed first. |
And/Or |
Use the drop-down list box to set the filter criteria as “And” or “Or”. Select “And” if it is mandatory to satisfy both the conditions. Select “Or” if the results must be retrieved even when one of the conditions is satisfied. |
Click the “Preset Filter Inputs” pushbutton, if you wish to execute the view with the filters already specified in the “Specify Filters” page of the “Define Views” activity.
Click the “Save Filter Inputs” pushbutton, to store the filter criteria entered in this page.
Select the “Specify Enumerated Values” link to specify the enumerated values for filter conditions.
Select the “Execute View” to view the output.
Note: Any information provided in this screen is user - specific. When this information is saved, it is stored against the login user. If the “Execute View” link is selected without clicking “Save Filter Inputs” pushbutton, then the filter criteria is available only for the current session and for a minimum period equal to the setting “Retain Period For Session Data, In Minutes” specified in the “Dcube Settings” activity. If the “Save Filter Inputs” pushbutton is clicked, then the filter criteria are saved permanently.
