Managing Crew Eligibility

This activity enables to define and update crew eligibility information on employees for an Aircraft Model & Flight Service Type combination. This information is used to determine whether an employee / crew can be assigned to a trip plan.

You can map crew type, flight service type and aircraft model to an employee in this activity. You can also specify the period during which the employee can be assigned to a trip plan. All this information forms the basis on which the eligibility of the employee is evaluated for a trip plan.

Select the “Manage Crew Eligibility” link under “Crew Information” business component.

The “Manage Crew Eligibility” page appears

To create new crew records, specify details in the “Crew Eligibility Details” multiline.
However, to modify existing records, enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria’ group box to retrieve records.

Crew Type	To retrieve crew records associated with specific crew type, use the drop-down list box to select the crew type. The drop-down list box displays the Active category codes defined for the category type Crew Type under the entity Flight Operations in the Category business component.
Flight Service Type	To retrieve crew records mapped to specific flight service type, select the flight service type. The drop-down list box displays the Active Entity Type flight service types defined in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master.
Aircraft Model #	To retrieve crew records associated with specific aircraft model, specify Aircraft Model #. Mandatory. The aircraft model you specify here must be Active and valid as defined in Aircraft business component. Mandatory. Help facility available
Employee #	To retrieve crew records associated with specific employee, enter the employee #. Help facility available

Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve and display the crew records in the “Crew Eligibility Details” multiline.
To create new / modify existing records, specify the following fields in the “Crew Eligibility Details” multiline.

Flight Service Type	Use the drop-down list box to select the flight service type for the employee. The drop-down list box displays the Active Entity Type flight service types defined in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master. Mandatory.
Aircraft Model #	The aircraft model mapped to the employee. Mandatory. The aircraft model you specify here must be Active and valid as defined in Aircraft. Help facility available
Crew Type	The crew type of the employee. The drop-down list box displays the Active category codes defined for the category type Crew Type under the entity Flight Operations in the Category business component. Mandatory
Employee #	The employee code of the crew. Mandatory. The employee code you enter here must be valid as defined in HRMS. Help facility available

The “Crew Eligibility Details” multiline displays the following.

Employee Name

The name of the employee.

Enter the following in the “Crew Eligibility Details” multiline.

Effective From	The start date of period during which the employee can be assigned to a trip plan. Mandatory.
Effective To	The end date of period during which the employee can be assigned to a trip plan.
Remarks	Additional information on the record.

Click the “Save” pushbutton.

The crew type, flight service type, aircraft model and effective period will be saved against the employee/crew.
