Activating or deactivating category types
This activity allows you to activate or deactivate the selected category type.
Select the “Activate/Deactivate Category Type” link under the “Category” business component.
The “Activate/Deactivate Category Types” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Category Details” group box:
Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category for which the category type is to be activated or inactivated. The system displays the options "Carrier Language", "Carrier Master", "Freight Term", "Inco Terms", "Issued to Location", "Reason Code", "Sales Purpose", "Shipment Type", "Transportation Mode", "Market", "Industry", "Region", "Segment", "Sub Segment", ”Customer Group Type”, ”Part Price List Category”, ”Service Price List Category" and "Shipping Label”. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the category. The system displays the options “Active”, “Inactive” and “Both”. |
The system displays the following in the “Category Type Details” multiline:
Status |
The status of the category type, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Default |
Indicates whether the category type is set as default or not. |
Category Type |
The type of category. |
Description |
The textual description of the category type. |
Check the box in the “Select“ column of the multiline, to select the category type to be activated or deactivated.
To activate the selected category type
Click the “Activate Category” pushbutton, to activate the selected category type.
Note: Only category types in the “Inactive” status can be activated.
The status of all the selected category types is updated as “Active”.
To deactivate the selected category type
Click the “Inactivate Category” pushbutton, to deactivate the selected category type.
Note: Only category types in the “Active” status can be inactivated. If the category type selected for inactivating is set as a “Default” then that category type cannot be inactivated.
The status of all the deactivated category types is updated as “Inactive”.
The system displays the following:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the category type. |
Created Date |
The date on which the category type was created. |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the category type. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the category type was last modified. |
