Category – An Overview

The “Category” business component facilitates the creation of category types. Category types are user-defined values applicable for a category, based on certain characteristics. For example, for the category “Transportation Mode” you can define the category types “Air”, “Rail”, “Road” or “Ship”, to indicate the modes of transportation followed by the organization.

This business component also provides you with the option of activating or deactivating the category types .

The category types created in this business component are utilized by various other business components such as Customer Order, Customer Group, , Pack Slip, Pricing, Customer Group, Customer, and Carrier.
