Map Normal / Allocation Cost Elements – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to map detail cost centers to cost element. A cost center must be mapped to cost elements, which in turn must have been mapped to account codes. If a cost center is not mapped to a cost element, you cannot post accounting entries to it. This activity allows you to map “Normal” or “Allocation” cost elements to “Detail” cost centers. You can set a date range during which this mapping is effective. You can also map multiple cost elements to multiple cost centers.
This activity also allows you to map “Normal” cost elements to account codes defined in the “Accounting Setup” business component. You can also map “Allocation” cost elements to cost centers. The system stores the login ID of the user and the system date on which the mapping has been done.
