Basics of using Ramco Enterprise Series web page

This activity allows you to view the details of the cost element. You can search and select the cost element for which you want to view the details. If you know the code identifying the cost element you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search by specifying the type of cost element and a range of cost elements that you want to retrieve. You can also search by specifying the login ID of the user. The system retrieves the details of the cost elements based on the search criteria entered. You can view all the details of the cost element irrespective of its status.

This activity also allows you to take a report of all the cost elements that have been retrieved based on the search criteria entered.

The “View Cost Element” page appears.

Cost Element

The code identifying the cost element for which you want to view details (Alphanumeric, 32).

 

Press <Enter> key.

 

The system retrieves the details of the cost element in the respective fields in the multiline.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the cost element for which you want to view details. You can select from “Active”, “Inactive” or “All”. The system displays “All’ by default on launch of the page.

Cost Element Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the cost element that you want to retrieve. You can select from “Normal Cost Element”, “Activity Cost Element” or “Allocation Cost Element”. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page.

User ID

The login ID of the user who created the cost element for which you want to view details (Alphanumeric, 15).

Cost Element From

The starting code in the range of cost element codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 32).

Note: The code entered in this field must be before or the same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To

The ending code in the range of cost element codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 32).

Description

The description of the cost element that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40).

Effective Date

Use the drop-down list box to select the date from which the cost element that you want to retrieve is effective. All the start dates of the MAC periods that have been defined for MAC years that are in the “Open” status will be available for selection in the chronological order. The system displays the earliest “Open” MAC period by default.

Note: The date selected in this field must be before or the same as the date selected in the “Expiry Date” field.

Expiry Date

Use the drop-down list box to select the date on which the cost element that you want to retrieve is to expire. All the end dates of the MAC periods that have been defined for MAC years that are in the “Open” status will be available for selection in the chronological order. The system displays the latest “Open” MAC period by default.

UOM Code

The code identifying the unit of measurement (Alphanumeric, 10).

The system displays the following in the “Cost Element Details” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

Cost Element

The code identifying the cost element.

Description

The description of the cost element.

Long Description

The detailed description of the cost element.

Cost Element Type

Indicates the type of the cost element. It could be “Normal Cost Element”, “Activity Cost Element” or “Allocation Cost Element”.

UOM Code

The code identifying the unit of measurement.

Effective Date

The date from when the cost element is in effective use.

Expiry Date

The date till which the cost element is in effective use.

Status

The status of the cost element. It could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

 
  • Active – indicates that the cost element is in effective use.

 
  • Inactive – indicates that the cost element is not in effective use.

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the cost element.

Created Date

The date on which the cost element was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the cost element.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the cost element was last modified.

The system prints the details of the cost element retrieved based on the search criteria entered.
