Basics of using Ramco Enterprise Series web page

This page allows you to copy the cost setup details like the cost centers, cost elements, cost center structures, cost element structures and the MAC calendars that have been defined in a business unit to another business unit. You can copy all the cost setup details at a time or select an entity and specify a range of codes identifying the entity that you want to copy. The system copies all the specified details from the login business unit to the selected business unit. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the copied details.

The “Bulk Copy Cost Setup” page appears.

Option

Use the drop-down list box to select the cost setup entity that you want to copy. You can select from “Cost Center", "Cost Element", "Calendar", "CC Structure", "CE Structure" or "All". The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page.

Business Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the business unit to which the entity details must be copied. All the business units that are available for the installation and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection in ascending order.

Note: The login business unit will not be available for selection.

Year Code From

Use the drop-down list box to select the MAC year in which the entities have been defined. All the MAC years that have been defined and that are in the “Open” status will be available for selection in the chronological order. The start date and the end date of the year will be displayed. The system displays the earliest “Open” MAC year by default on launch of the page.

Note: The year selected in this field must be before or the same as the year selected in the “To” field.

To

Use the drop-down list box to select the MAC year in which the entities have been defined. All the MAC years that have been defined and that are in the “Open” status will be available for selection in the chronological order. The start date and the end date of the year will be displayed. The system displays the latest “Open” MAC year by default on launch of the page.

Cost Center / Unit From

The starting code in the range of cost center / unit codes from which, you want to copy (Alphanumeric, 10).

Note: The code entered in this field must be before or same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To

The ending code in the range of cost center / unit codes till which, you want to copy (Alphanumeric, 10).

Cost Element From

The starting code in the range of cost element codes from which, you want to copy (Alphanumeric, 32).

Note: The code entered in this field must be before or same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To

The ending code in the range of cost element codes till which, you want to copy (Alphanumeric, 32).

CC Structure From

The starting code in the range of cost center structures codes from which, you want to copy (Alphanumeric, 10).

Note: The code entered in this field must be before or same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To

The ending code in the range of cost center structures codes till which, you want to copy (Alphanumeric, 10).

CE Structure From

The starting code in the range of cost element structures codes from which, you want to copy (Alphanumeric, 10).

Note: The code entered in this field must be before or same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To

The ending code in the range of cost element structures codes till which, you want to copy (Alphanumeric, 10).

The system copies the details of the specified cost centers, cost elements, cost center structures, cost element structures and calendars to the selected business unit. The system also saves the business unit, logistics organization and company details along with the copied details. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the copied details.
