This page allows you to create a cost element tree structure. The tree structure must comprise header nodes or element nodes. You can assign unique names for the nodes. This page allows you to map cost elements to an element node. You can specify the range of cost elements that you want to include to an element node. There must be at least one header node for every newly created tree. The system saves the details of the tree and also assigns a unique row number for every node.
Select the “Create Cost Element Structure” link under the “Cost Setup” business component.
The “Create Tree” page appears.
Enter the following fields:
CE Structure ID |
A unique code identifying the cost element structure (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory |
Description |
A textual description of the cost element structure (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Zoom facility available |
Enter the following fields in the “Node Definition” group box:
Type |
Use the drop-down list box to set the type of the node. You can select from “Element” or “Header”. |
| |
| |
The system displays “Header” by default on launch of the page.
Description |
A textual description of the type of the structure (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Zoom facility available
Cost Element From |
The starting code in the range of cost element codes that you want to include in the structure (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. This field must be left blank if “Header” is selected in the “Type” field. This field must not be left blank if “Element” is selected in the “Type” field. |
Note: The code entered in this field must be before or the same as the code entered in the “To” field.
To |
The ending code in the range of cost element codes that you want to include in the structure (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. This field must be left blank if “Header” is selected in the “Type” field. This field must not be left blank if “Element” is selected in the “Type” field. |
Map To |
Use the drop-down list box to select the header to which cost elements must be mapped. The descriptions of all the headers that have been defined for the structure will be available for selection. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. |
Click the “Map” pushbutton to map the range of cost elements to a header.
The system maps the range of cost elements to the header node. The system maps the node the top most level of the structure if the “Map to List” field is left “Blank”.
Note: There must be at least one header node for a cost element tree.
Click the “Create Tree” pushbutton to create the tree.
The system saves the details of the tree structure. The system also assigns a unique row number to every node in the tree.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Create Cost Element Structure” link at the bottom of the page to create a cost element structure.
You can define “Header” and “Element” nodes for a cost element tree. A header node can be mapped to multiple header nodes or element nodes, thereby creating a tree structure for the cost element. The last level of a tree must have cost elements available in it.
Set the “Type” field to “Element” if you want to create an element node.
Set the “Type” field to “Header” if you want to create a header node.
