Viewing inter BU cost centers / elements mapping

This activity allows you to view the details of the mapping that exist between cost centers / cost elements available in two different business unit. You can select the business unit to which the cost centers / cost elements of the login business unit are mapped. You can also carry out a search by specifying the range of cost centers / cost elements that you want to retrieve. The system retrieves the mapping details based on the search criteria entered.

Select the “View Inter BU Cost Centers / Elements” link under the “Cost Setup” business component.

The “View Inter BU Cost Centers / Elements” page appears.

The system displays the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Source Business Unit

The code identifying the login business unit.

Enter the following field in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Target Business Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the business unit to which the cost centers / cost elements of the login business unit has been mapped. All the business units that are available in the installation and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page.

Enter the following fields in the “Source Details” group box:

Cost Center From

The starting code in the range of cost centers that you want to retrieve from the login business unit (Alphanumeric, 10).

Note: The code entered in this field must be before or the same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To	The ending code in the range of cost centers that you want to retrieve from the login business unit (Alphanumeric, 10).
Description	The description of the cost center that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40).
Cost Element From	The starting code in the range of cost elements that you want to retrieve from the login business unit (Alphanumeric, 32).

Note: The code entered in this field must be before or the same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To	The ending code in the range of cost centers that you want to retrieve from the login business unit (Alphanumeric, 32).
Description	The description of the cost element that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40).

Enter the following fields in the “Target Details” group box:

Cost Center From

The starting code in the range of cost centers that you want to retrieve from the business unit selected in the “Target Business Unit” field (Alphanumeric, 10).

Note: The code entered in this field must be before or the same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To	The ending code in the range of cost centers that you want to retrieve from the business unit selected in the “Target Business Unit” field (Alphanumeric, 10).
Description	The description of the cost center that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40).
Cost Element From	The starting code in the range of cost elements that you want to retrieve from the business unit selected in the “Target Business Unit” field (Alphanumeric, 10).
To	The ending code in the range of cost elements that you want to retrieve from the business unit selected in the “Target Business Unit” field (Alphanumeric, 32).
Description	The description of the cost element that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40).

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the details of the cost centers / cost elements.

The system retrieves the source cost center / cost element and the target cost center / cost element in the “Mapping Details” multiline based on the search criteria entered.

The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Mapping Details” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

Source Cost Center	The code identifying the cost center defined in the login business unit.
Description	The description of the cost center.
Source Cost Element	The code identifying the cost element defined in the login business unit.
Description	The description of the cost element.
Target Cost Center	The code identifying the cost center defined in the business unit selected in the “Target Business Unit” field.
Description	The description of the cost center.
Target Cost Element	The code identifying the cost element defined in the business unit selected in the “Target Business Unit” field.
Description	The description of the cost element.

The system displays the following:

Created By	The login ID of the user who created the mapping.
Created Date	The date on which the mapping was created.
Last Modified By	The login ID of the user who last modified the mapping.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the mapping was last modified.
