Modifying inter BU cost centers / elements mapping

This activity allows you to modify the mapping between the cost centers / cost elements available in two different business units of the same installation. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Inter BU Cost Centers / Elements” link under the “Cost Setup” business component.
The “Edit Inter BU Cost Centers / Elements” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Source Business Unit |
The code identifying the login business unit. |
Enter the following field in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Target Business Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the business unit to which the cost centers / cost elements of the login business unit has been mapped. All the business units that are available in the installation and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |
Enter the following fields in the “Source Details” group box:

Cost Center From |
The starting code in the range of cost centers that you want to retrieve from the login business unit (Alphanumeric, 10). |
Note: The code entered in this field must be before or the same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To |
The ending code in the range of cost centers that you want to retrieve from the login business unit (Alphanumeric, 10). |

Description |
The description of the cost center that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40). |

Cost Element From |
The starting code in the range of cost elements that you want to retrieve from the login business unit (Alphanumeric, 32). |
Note: The code entered in this field must be before or the same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To |
The ending code in the range of cost centers that you want to retrieve from the login business unit (Alphanumeric, 32). |

Description |
The description of the cost element that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Enter the following fields in the “Target Details” group box:

The starting code in the range of cost centers that you want to retrieve from the business unit selected in the “Target Business Unit” field (Alphanumeric, 10). |

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the details of the cost centers / cost elements.
The system retrieves the source cost center / cost element and the target cost center / cost element in the “Mapping Details” multiline based on the search criteria entered.
Modify the following field if required in the “Mapping Details” multiline:

The system retrieves and displays the description of the cost element in the relevant field in the multiline. |
The system displays the following in the “Mapping Details” multiline:

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark a cost center that has to be unmapped.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton to save the modifications made to the cost center / cost element mapping.
The system saves the modifications made to the cost center / cost element mapping. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and the “Last Modified Date” fields.
Click the “Unmap” pushbutton to unmap the cost center / cost elements.
The system unmaps the cost center or cost elements. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and the “Last Modified Date” fields.
The system displays the following:

The login ID of the user who created the mapping. |
|
Created Date |
The date on which the mapping was created. |
|
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the mapping. |
|
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the mapping was last modified. |
