Basics of using Ramco Enterprise Series web page

This page allows you to amend a MAC calendar. You can amend the details of an authorized MAC year. You can amend the details of a MAC year that is in the “Open” status provided MAC entries have not been posted in it. The system saves the modifications made to the MAC year and retains the “Open” status. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified details.

The “Amend MAC Calendar” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Status

The status of the MAC year. It must be “Open”.

 
  • Open – indicates that the year has been authorized.

Year Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the MAC year for which you want to amend the details. All the MAC years that have been defined for the company and that are in the “Open” status will be available for selection in the chronological order.

Note: You can amend the details of a MAC year that is in the “Open” status provided MAC entries have not been passed in it.

Description

A textual description of the MAC year (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Start Date

The date on which the MAC year begins (Date Format). Mandatory. The date entered in this field must be one day after the previous MAC year if MAC years already exist in this system.

Note: If “Post Allocation Entries to FB” has been set as “Yes” at the company level, the date entered in this field must match the start date of the corresponding financial year.

End Date

The date on which the MAC year ends (Date Format). Mandatory.

Note: The date entered in this field must be after the date entered in the “Start Date” field. The date entered in this field can be preponed to the earlier MAC period if transactions have not been incorporated in the MAC period. When the end date is preponed, all the MAC years subsequent to the current year will be deleted.

The system displays the following in the “Period Details” multiline:

Period Code

A unique code identifying the MAC period. This period code would be prefixed with the MAC year code for which it has been created.

Description

A textual description of the MAC period (Alphanumeric, 40).

The system displays the following in the “Period Details” multiline:

Start Date

The start date of the MAC period.

End Date

The date on which the MAC period ends (Date Format). Mandatory.

Note: The date entered in this field must be the same or later than the MAC period start date. The end date of the last MAC period must be the same as the end date of the MAC year.

The system displays the following in the “Period Details” multiline:

Status

The status of the MAC period. It must be “Open”.

 
  • Open – indicates an authorized MAC period.

The system saves the amendment made to the MAC calendar details. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and the “Last Modified Date” fields.

The system displays the following:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the MAC calendar.

Created Date

The date on which the MAC calendar was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the MAC calendar.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the MAC calendar was last modified.
