This activity allows you to set the function defaults for the “Customer Payment” business component. You can also modify the function defaults, which is already been set. The system updates the login ID of the user to the last modified by and the system date to the last modified date.

The “Set Function Defaults” page appears.

Allow Multiple Finance Book Postings

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether you want the postings to happen in multiple finance book. The system displays “Yes” and “No” for selection. The system displays “Yes” by default on launch of the page, if the function default setting is happening for the first time.

Default Finance Book

Use the drop-down list box to select the finance book to be defaulted during posting. The system lists all the finance books mapped to the login organization unit. The system displays the first finance book in the list by default on launch of the page.

Default Payment Release Point

Use the drop-down list box to select the default organization unit from which the payment has to be made. The system lists all the release payment organization unit mapped to the login organization unit for selection. The system displays the first organization unit in the list by default on launch of the page.

Note: The payment release point specified must be a valid organization unit of the “Release Payment” business component..

Exchange rate type for customer payments

Use the drop-down list box to select the exchange rate type for the payments. All the exchange rate types mapped to the login organization unit are available for selection. The exchange rate type must have been defined in the “Create Exchange Rate Type” activity of the “Exchange Rate” business component.

The system updates the login ID of the user to the last modified by and the system date to the last modified date.
