Modifying reporting structure details
This page allows you to modify a reporting structure. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Reporting Structure” link under the “Finance Book Consolidation” business component.
The “Edit Reporting Structure” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Status |
The status of the reporting structure. It must be “Active”. |
Enter the following fields:
Reporting Structure |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the reporting structure for which you want to modify the details. All the reporting structures that have been defined for the login organization and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection in the ascending order. |
On selection of the reporting structure the system retrieves and displays its status and description in the corresponding fields. | |

A textual description of the reporting structure (Alphanumeric, 40). |

The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Structure Details” multiline based on the reporting structure selected:
Finance Book |
The code identifying the finance book. |
Finance Book Description |
A textual description of the finance book. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark a finance book for deletion or for inclusion in the reporting structure.
Click the “Get Finance Book” pushbutton to retrieve the details of the finance book.
The system retrieves the details of all the “Positing Finance Books” that are in the “Active” status.
Click the “Delete Finance Book” pushbutton to delete the selected finance books.
The system deletes the selected finance book from the reporting structure. The system updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and “Last Modified Date” fields.
Note: You can include new finance books that do not form part of the list.
Click the “Edit Reporting Structure” pushbutton to save the modifications made to the reporting structure.
The system saves the modifications made to the reporting structure. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and “Last Modified Date” fields.
Note: You can delete a reporting structure that is in the “Active” status.
Click the “Delete Reporting Structure” pushbutton to delete the reporting structure.
The system deletes the reporting structure and updates the status as “Inactive”. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Last Modified By” and “Last Modified Date” fields.
The system displays the following:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the reporting structure. |
Created Date |
The date on which the reporting structure was created. |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the reporting structure. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the reporting structure was last modified. |
You can retrieve finance books that are of the “Posting” type. These finance books must be unique for the selected reporting structure.
Click the “Get Finance Book” pushbutton to retrieve the “Posting” finance books
The system retrieves all the “Posting” finance books that are in the “Active” status and are not part of the selected reporting structure.
You can delete or remove a finance book that forms part of the reporting structure if you do not require it any longer.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark a finance book that has to be deleted from the reporting structure.
Click the “Delete Finance Book” pushbutton to delete the selected finance book
The system removes the selected finance book from the reporting structure.
You can delete the reporting structure if it is no longer required.
Click the “Delete Reporting Structure” pushbutton to delete the reporting structure.
The system deletes the reporting structure and updates the status as “Inactive”.
