Select “Edit Competency Class ” from the left pane.
The “Select Competency Class For Editing” page appears.
Enter the following fields.

Language |
The system displays the language in which the login user logged in. This refers to the language you selected in the login screen, to access this activity. From the drop-down list box, select the language in which you require to edit the competency class details. |
Select the required competency class record, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
Use this method if you know the complete code of the competency class.
Enter the code of the competency class you want to edit, in the “Competency Class Code” field.
Select the “Edit Competency Class” hyperlink beside.
The “Edit Competency Class” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
To edit the competency class, refer to the topic “Editing the Competency Class”.
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the Competency class code or the competency class short description or nothing at all. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the competency class code or description contains. Search based on wild card characters is also supported. . In case you do not know anything, just click on search without entering any fields. The entire set of records will be fetched
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.

To view the competency class codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the competency class codes followed by the wild card *. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, CCL*, will search for those competency class codes that start with CCL1 Other examples are *CCL1, C*1 and CCL* etc. |
Competency Class Short Description |
To view all Competency class short descriptions containing specific characters type in the starting character/s of the short description followed by the wild card *. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, Com*, will search for those competency short descriptions that start with Com*,. Other examples are *Skills Markng*S, and *Union Nego* etc. |
Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
Note:
If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the
records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the competency class
records that are applicable to the selected competency definition unit.
The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the competency class records that satisfy the specified search criteria.
Competency Class Code |
The code of the competency class. |
Competency Class Short Description |
A brief description of the competency class, for example, CC1, CC2, Skills, Beh. Traits etc. |
Inactive |
The status of the competency record you want to view, whether “Active” or “Inactive”. “Yes” indicates that the details of the corresponding record are available for use by other activities, “No” indicates otherwise. |
Select the hyperlink on the short description of the required competency class record.
The system displays the “Edit Competency Class” page, which you can use to make the necessary changes.
