Selecting finance / tax calendar for modification

This page allows you to search and select a finance or tax calendar for modification. If you are aware of the code identifying the finance or tax calendar, you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search using the code identifying the financial / tax calendar and the description of the financial / tax calendar. The system retrieves and displays the details of the “Active” financial / tax calendar based on the search criteria entered.

Select the “Edit Calendar” link under the “Accounting Setup” business component.

The “Select Finance / Tax Calendar” page appears.

Enter the following fields if you are aware of the code identifying the financial year or the tax year that you want to modify:

Financial / Tax Year Code

The code identifying the financial year or the tax year that you want to modify (Alphanumeric, 10).

Select the “Financial Calendar” link at the bottom of the page to modify the details of the financial calendar.
Select the “Tax Calendar” link at the bottom of the page to modify the details of the tax calendar.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the financial year or the tax year that you want to modify. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Year

Use the drop-down list box to select whether you want to modify the “Financial Year” or the “Tax Year”. The system displays “Financial Year” by default at the launch of the page.

Note: If “Financial Year” is selected, all the codes identifying the “Active” financial years will be available for selection in the “Financial / Tax Year Code” field.

If “Tax Year” is selected, all the codes identifying the “Active” tax years will be available for selection in the “Financial / Tax Year Code” field.

Financial / Tax Year Code	Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the financial or tax year that you want to modify. All the “Active” financial years or tax years will be available for selection in the chronological order.
Description	The textual description of the financial / tax year (Alphanumeric,40).

Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

Financial / Tax Year Code	The code identifying the financial / tax year.
Description	The textual description of the financial / tax year.
Start Date	The date on which the financial / tax year begins.
End Date	The date on which the financial / tax year ends.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark a financial / tax year for modification.

To proceed, carry out the following

Select the “Financial Calendar” link at the bottom of the page to modify the details of the financial calendar.
Select the “Tax Calendar” link at the bottom of the page to modify the details of the tax calendar.
