Viewing debit / credit note summary

Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to view the summary of a debit / credit note. Apart from the debit / credit note details, you can also view the details of the payments that have been received from the customer if it is a debit note and the adjustments made against the credit documents that are already available. The receipt details and adjustments will be available for viewing if payments have been received from the customer or if the debit / credit note has been adjusted manually against earlier credit documents. You can also view details like the total amount received, the total amount adjusted subsequent to the payments received and the amount that is unpaid till date.

The “Note Summary” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Note #

The number identifying the debit / credit note.

Note Date

The date on which the debit / credit note has been created.

Status

The status of the note. It could be “Draft”, “Fresh” or “Returned”.

 
  • Draft – indicates a newly created debit note that cannot be authorized.

 
  • Fresh – indicates a newly created debit note that can be authorized.

The system displays the following in the “Note Information” multiline:

Amount

The amount for the account code in the transaction currency.

Base Amount

The amount invoiced for the account code in the base currency of the company.

The system displays the following:

Total Amount

The total amount for which the debit / credit note have been created.

Currency

The code identifying the currency in which the debit / credit note has been created.

Total Receipt Amount

The total amount received from the customer towards the settlement of the debit note.

Total Paid Amount

The total amount that has been received till date.

Total Outstanding Amount

The total amount that is yet to be paid.

The system displays the following in the “Payment Information” multiline:

Instrument #

The number identifying the instrument vide which the payment was received.

Instrument Date

The date on which the instrument was raised.

Amount

The amount for which the instrument is created.

Currency

The currency in which the instrument was issued.

Bank

The code identifying the bank or PTT in which the payment has been deposited.

Finance Book

The code identifying the finance book in which the payment details are posted.

The system displays the following in the “Adjustment Information” multiline:

Voucher #

The number identifying the adjustment voucher.

Voucher Date

The date on which the adjustment voucher was raised.

Currency

The currency of the adjustment voucher.

Ref. Document #

The number identifying the reference document based on which the adjustment voucher has been raised.

Finance Book

The code identifying the book in which the adjustment details have been posted.

Invoicing Point

The code identifying the organization unit in which the invoice has been created.

Adjustment Point

The code identifying organization unit in which the adjustment has been made.
