Modifying activity absorption plan

This activity allows you to modify the absorption plan for an activity element. You can enter the code identifying the activity element that you want to modify. The system retrieves the plan details of the selected cost element. You can modify the details of the normal cost elements and the weightage factor that has been accorded to it. The system saves the modified details of the absorption plan. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified details.

Select the “Edit Activity Absorption Plan” link under the “Cost Budget” business component.

The “Edit Activity Absorption Plan” page appears

Enter the following field:

Activity Element	The code identifying the activity cost element (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. The code entered in this field must be a valid activity cost element that has been defined in the “Cost Setup” business component and is in the “Active” status.
	Press <Enter> key.
	The system retrieves the details of the cost element in the relevant fields. The system also retrieves the plan details in the relevant fields.
	Help facility available

The system displays the following:

Description	The description of the activity cost element.
Status	The status of the plan. It must be “Active”.

Enter the following fields:

Rate Type	Use the drop-down list box to select the type of rate of the activity cost element. The standard rate and the alternate rates that have been defined for the cost element in the “Cost Setup” business component will be available for selection.
CE Structure ID	The code identifying the cost element structure (Alphanumeric, 10). The cost element structure entered in this field must be a valid one that has been defined in the “Cost Setup” business component and is in “Active” status.
	Press <Enter> key.
	The system retrieves the details of the cost element structure in the relevant fields. The system also displays “1” as the “Weightage Factor”.

Note: The CE structure entered in this field must comprise of “Normal” cost elements.

Modify the following field if required in the “Normal Cost Element Details” multiline:

Normal Element	The code identifying the normal cost element (Alphanumeric, 32). The code entered in this field must be a valid normal cost element that has been defined in the “Cost Setup” business component.
	Help facility available

The system displays the following in the “Normal Cost Element Details” multiline:

Description

The description of the normal cost element.

Modify the following field if required in the “Normal Cost Element Details” multiline:

Weightage Factor

The proportion of the weight-age that must be accorded to the cost element (Integer). The value entered in this field must be greater than zero.

Note: There can be only one activity absorption plan for a unique combination of activity element and rate type.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark a normal cost element for deletion.

Click the “Edit” pushbutton to save the modifications made.

The system saves the modifications made to the absorption plan. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified absorption plan details.

The system displays the following:

Created By	The login ID of the user who created the absorption plan.
Created Date	The date on which the absorption plan was created.
Last Modified By	The login ID of the user who last modified the absorption plan.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the absorption plan was last modified.
