Creating activity absorption plan

This activity allows you to create operational cost budgets for an organization. Tell me more
Select the “Create Activity Absorption Plan” link under the “Cost Budget” business component.
The “Create Activity Absorption Plan” page appears.
Enter the following field:

Activity Element |
The code identifying the activity cost element (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. The code entered in this field must be a valid activity cost element that has been defined in the “Cost Setup” business component and is in the ‘Active’ status. |

Press the <Enter> key. |

The system retrieves the details of the cost element in the relevant fields. |

Description |
The description of the activity cost element. |

Zoom facility available |
Enter the following fields:

Rate Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of rate of the activity cost element. The standard rate and the alternate rates that have been defined for the cost element in the “Cost Setup” business component will be available for selection. The system displays the standard rate by default on launch of the page. |

CE Structure ID |
The code identifying the cost element structure (Alphanumeric, 10). The cost element structure entered in this field must be a valid one that has been defined in the “Cost Setup” business component and is in the “Active” status. |

Press <Enter> key. |

The system retrieves the details of the cost element structure in the relevant fields. The system also displays “1” as the “Weightage Factor”. |

Note: The CE structure entered in this field must comprise of “Normal” cost elements.
Enter the following field in the “Normal Cost Element Details” multiline:

Normal Element |
The code identifying the normal cost element (Alphanumeric, 32). The code entered in this field must be a valid normal cost element that has been defined in the “Cost Setup” business component and is in the “Active” status. |

The description of the normal cost element. |
Enter the following field in the “Normal Cost Element Details” multiline:

Weightage Factor |
The proportion of the weight-age that must be accorded to the cost element (Integer). The value entered in this field must be greater than zero. |
Note: There can be only one activity absorption plan for a unique combination of activity element and rate type.
Click the “Create” pushbutton to create the activity absorption plan.
The system saves the details of the activity absorption plan. The system also updates the status of the plan as “Active”. The system also stores the details of the business unit, organization unit and company along with the activity absorption plan. The system also updates the login ID of the user and the system date in the “Created By” and the “Created Date” fields.
The system displays the following:

The login ID of the user who created the activity absorption plan. |

Created Date |
The date on which the activity absorption plan is created. |
“Activity Cost Element”, “Normal Cost Element” and “Cost Element Structures” must have been created in the “Cost Setup” business component.
