Activating / inactivating activity absorption plan
Select the “Activate / Inactivate Activity Absorption Plan” link under the “Cost Budget” business component.
The “Activate / Inactivate Activity Absorption Plan” page appears.
Enter the following field:
Activity Element |
The code identifying the activity cost element (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. The code entered in this field must be a valid activity cost element that has been defined in the “Cost Setup” business component. |
Press the <Enter> key. |

The system retrieves the details of the cost element in the relevant fields. The system also retrieves the plan details in the relevant fields. |

Description |
The description of the activity cost element. |
Status |
The status of the plan. It could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Enter the following field:
Rate Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of rate of the activity cost element. The standard rate and the alternate rates that have been defined for the cost element in the “Cost Setup” business component will be available for selection. The system displays the standard rate by default on launch of the page. |
The system displays the following in the “Normal Cost Element Details” multiline:
Normal Element |
The code identifying the normal cost element. |
Description |
The description of the normal cost element. |
Weightage Factor |
The proportion of the weight-age that must be accorded to the cost element. |
Note: You can activate an absorption plan that is in the “Inactive” status.
Click the “Activate” pushbutton to activate the absorption plan.
The system updates the status of the absorption plan as “Active”. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the absorption plan details.
Note: You can inactivate an absorption plan that is in the “Active” status.
Click the “Inactivate” pushbutton to inactivate the absorption plan.
The system updates the status of the absorption plan as “Inactive”. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the absorption plan details.
