Recording work delay information for hangar work order or task
The system displays the basic work order details and you can select the task for which the delay details must be reported. Tell me more.
Select the “Record Work Delays” link at the bottom of the “Record Employee Timesheet for Hangar Work Orders” page.
The “Record Work Delay Information” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date & Time Format |
The format in which the date and time fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “Work Order Details” group box:
Visit Package # |
The visit package to which the work order belongs. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft registration number for which the visit package is applicable. |
Work Order # |
The work order for which the delay details must be entered. |
Job Type |
The job type of the work order. |
Work Center # |
The work center to which the work order is assigned. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter number associated to the work order. |
Enter the following in the “Task Details” group box:
Task # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the task for which the work delay details are to be entered. Mandatory. The system lists the tasks assigned to the work order. If the “Task Reporting” option is set to “Assigned Employees” in “Set Options” activity, the system lists the tasks that are assigned to the login user. Otherwise, the system lists all the tasks associated to the work order. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton, to retrieve the delay details for the work order and the task combination.

Enter the following in the “Default Details” group box:
Def. From Date & Time |
The starting date and time, from when the work stopped (Date format). The date and time entered in this field must be in the format displayed in the “Date & Time Format” field. Ensure that the date entered is not later than the current server date. Enter the starting time in the edit box provided alongside (Time format). |
Def. To Date & Time |
The delayed ending date and time, until which the work was stopped.(Date format). The date and time entered in this field must be in the format displayed in the “Date & Time Format” field. Ensure that the date entered is not later than the current server date. Enter the ending time in the edit box provided alongside (Time format). |
Note: If the date fields are left blank in the multiline, the system sets the “Def. From Date & Time” and “Def To Date & Time” fields in the respective multiline columns. This type of updation is done, when several work orders or tasks have when they have same delay time.
Enter the following in the “Delay Duration Details” multiline:
Work Delay # |
The number identifying the work delay (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory. The work delay number should have already been defined in the “Create Work Delay Code” activity and should be in “Active” status. Help facility available. |

From Date |
The date from which the work order or task is delayed. The date entered in this field must be in the format displayed in the “Date & Time Format” field. |
Note: Ensure that the difference in days between the “From Date” and the system date is within the limit specified in the "Back Dated Reporting Time Limit" option in the “Set Options” activity of the current business component. |

To Time |

Time Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the unit of measurement for the time, which could be “Minutes”, “Hours” or “Days”. The system sets the field to “Hours” by default. |
Delay Duration |
The total time by which the execution of a task or work order was delayed from the scheduled execution date and time. Data entry in this field is mandatory, if the “From date”, “From Time”, “To Date” or “To Time” fields are entered. |
Note: The delay duration is calculated as the difference between the “From date and time” and “To date and time”.
Delay Comments |
Any general comments or remarks regarding the delay. |
Note: For the work order and task combination, the system ensures that no actuals (employee time sheet, facility usage, resource usage) have been reported during any of the dates and times mentioned against each delay.
Check the box in the "Select" column of the multiline to select the work delay for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the selected work delays.
Click the “Record Delays” pushbutton to update the delay details.
Recording work delay information for hangar work order or task – An overview
Each maintenance task scheduled for execution has a planned start and end date. Deviations from the planned dates can occur due to various reasons, such as non-availability of essential resources, the dependent preceding job not being completed as planned etc. In this page, you can enter the delays that have occurred while executing the work order or task.
The system displays the basic work order details and you can select the task for which the delay details must be reported. You can enter the delay code and specify the period for which the work order or task is delayed by specifying the starting and ending date and time.
The system updates the delay details and stores the name of the currently logged in user and the current server date.
