Recording facility usage information
This page allows you to enter the utililzation details that you need to update for the selected facility. Tell me more.
Select the “Record Facility Usage” link in the “Select Facility” page.
The “Record Facility Usage Information” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date & Time Format |
The format in which the date and time fields must be entered. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Facility Details” group box:
Facility # |
The number identifying the facility, for which the usage details must be entered. |
Facility type |
The type of the facility, which can be “Equipment”, “Tools” or “Others”. |
Facility Description |
The textual description of the facility. Zoom facility available. |
Enter the following in the “Display Filter” group box:
Visit package # |
The number identifying the visit package for which the work orders and tasks details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft registration number for which the visit package is applicable (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. |
Work Order # |
The number identifying the work order to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop down list box to select the work center. The system displays all the work centers that are mapped to the login organizational unit. The system retrieves the work orders and task that are performed on the work center entered here. |
Used Date: From |
The starting date in the range of dates from which the work order or task details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 16). |
Used Date: To |
The ending date in the range of dates until which the work order or task details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 16). |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the work order and task details.
Note: The system retrieves the work orders or tasks that have been assigned to the facility. If you have already entered the usage details, the system retrieves the details for the work order or tasks.
Enter the following:
Work Order # |
The hangar work order for which the facility is used (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The work order number must have already been created in the “Create Work Order” activity of the “Hangar Work Order” business component and the job status of the work order must not be “Closed”. Help facility available. |
Note: Ensure that the work order number is not modified for a work order that is already reported for the facility.
Note: Facility usage cannot be updated, if the work order is of the status “Hold” or “Pending Deferral”.
Seq # |
The number identifying the sequence in which the work order should be executed. |
Task # |
The task for which the facility is used. Ensure that the task number is already associated to the work order specified in the “Work Order #” field. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following:
Revision # |
The revision number of the task. |
Enter the following:
Facility Object Code |
The number identifying the facility object (Alphanumeric, 40). The number should have already been defined for the facility in the “Associate Work Center Attribute” activity of the “Work Center” business component and the status should be “Active”. The facility code entered should be of the facility type selected in the previous page. |
Time Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the unit of measurement for the time, which could be “Minutes”, “Hours” or “Days”. The system sets the field to “Hours” by default. |
Used Duration |
The total number of hours, the facility has been used by the work order or task (Decimal). Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “From Date” or “To Date” field is not entered. The value entered in this field should be positive. |
Note: The used duration must be equal to the difference between the “From Date” and “From Time” and “To Date” and “To Time”.
From Date |
The actual date from which the work order or task has utilized the facility (Date Format). The date entered in this field must be in the format specified in the “Date & Time Format” field. Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “To Date” or “Used Hours” is entered. |
From Time |
The actual time from which the work order or task has utilized the facility (Time format). The time entered in this field must be in the format specified in the “Date & Time Format” field. Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “From Date” field is entered and “Time Unit” field is set to “Hours”. |
Note: The system defaults the “From Date” and “From Time” fields to the assignment date and time for the work order or task.
To Date |
The actual date until which the work order or task has utilized the facility (Date format). The date entered in this field must be in the format specified in the “Date & Time Format” field and greater than or equal to the date entered in the “From Date” field. Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “From Date” or “Used Hours” is entered. |
To Time |
The actual time until which work order or task has utilized the facility (Time format). The time entered in this field must be in the format specified in the “Date & Time Format” field and must be greater than the “From Time”, if the “From Date” and “To Date” are same. Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “From Date” field is entered and “Time Unit” field is set to “Hours”. |
Facility Usg. Comments |
Any general comments or remarks on the usage of the facility for the work order or task (Alphanumeric, 255). |
The system displays the following:
Work Order Description |
The textual description of the work order. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task. |
Last Updated Date |
The date on which the details were last updated. |
Note: Atleast one row should be entered in the multiline.
Click the “Update Facility Usage“ pushbutton, to update the facility usage details for the work order or task.
Note: On closing the work order, the finance book for “Facilities Cost” will be updated.
The system performs the following based on the time unit selected:
If the “To Date”, “To Time” and “Worked Duration” fields are entered, the “From Date” and “From Time” is automatically calculated.
If the “From Date”, “From Time” and “Worked Duration” fields are entered, the “To Date” and “To Time” is automatically calculated.
If the “From Date”, “From Time”, “To Date” and “To Time” fields are entered, the “Worked Duration” is automatically calculated.
The status of the work order is changed from “Scheduled” to “In-Progress”,when the facilities are reported.
Note:If the job status of the work order is changed from “Scheduled” to “In-Progress”, then the system sets the last updated date to the current server date for the work order or task.
The “Aircraft Condition” field is set to “Under Maintenance” for the aircraft for which the facilities are reported.
Note: The system will not update the aircraft condition to “Under Maintenance”, if the “Exec Phase” is “Preparatory” for the task associated with the aircraft.
Recording facility usage information – An overview
This page allows you to enter the utililzation details that you need to update for the selected facility. You can update the facility actuals at the task level or at the hangar work order level.
Facility objects are identifiable units of a facility. For example, if lathe is a facility then the individual serial number of the lathe is a facility object. You can specify facility objects of the selected facility and enter the total duration for which the facility object was used. You can specify the period for which the facility object was used, by entering the starting date and time and the ending date and time.
When actuals are updated for a work order, the system automatically changes the tasks and the work order status to "In-Progress", to indicate that the execution of the work order or task is in progress.
