Recording spare part attachment information
The quantity of parts consumed while executing a particular job in a work order or task . Tell me more.
Select the “Record Fitment Details” link at the bottom of the “Record Parts Consumption Information” page.
The “Record Spare Parts Fitment Information” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Work Order Details” group box:
Visit Package # |
The visit package to which the work order is associated. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft registration number for which the part fitment details must be entered. |
Work Order # |
The work order selected in the main page. |
Job Type |
The type of the job, which could be “On-Wing”, “Component Removal” or “Aircraft”. |
Work Center # |
The work center where the work order is performed. |
The system displays the following in the “Component Details” group box:
Component # |
The component for which the fitment information must be entered. |
Part # |
The part number of the component. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. Zoom facility available. |
Note: On launching the page, the system displays the fitment details that have already been specified for the work order, task and part combination.
The system displays the following in the “Task Details” group box:
Task # |
The task number associated to the work order. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the task. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task. Zoom facility available. |
The system displays the following in the “Spare Part Details” group box:
Spare Part # |
The part of type “Expendable” selected in the “Record Parts Consumption Information” page, for which the position code information must be entered. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. Zoom facility available. |
Used Qty. |
The quantity of the part used. |
The system displays the following in the “Customer Details” group box:
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer, who owns the aircraft. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer owning the aircraft. |
Customer Order # |
The number identifying the order placed by the customer. |
Aircraft Release Date |
The date on which the aircraft must be released to the customer. |
Note: The "Customer #" and "Customer Name" fields are applicable only when the aircraft is not self-owned and the customer details are recorded in the system.
Enter the following field in the “Default Details” group box:
Def. Date of Attachment |
The date on which the part is attached to the respective position code (Date Format). The date entered here must be earlier than or equal to the server date. The system displays the current server date by default. |
Note: If the “Date of Attachment” field is left blank in the multiline, the system sets the “Def. Date of Attachment” in the multiline column. This type of updation is done, when several parts are attached to various position codes on the same date.
The system displays the following in the “Part Fitment Details” multiline:
Serial # |
The serial number of the part to be placed in the position code. |
Lot # |
The number identifying the lot to which the part serial number belongs. |
Issue Stock Status |
The status of the stock issue. |
Enter the following:
Position Number |
Use the drop-down list box to select the position code to which the part must be fitted. Mandatory. The position code selected must be unique in the multiline. |
If the “Job Type” is “Aircraft”, the system lists the position codes defined for the part in the “Maintain Aircraft Configuration” activity of the “Configuration” business component. | |
If the “Job Type” is “On-Wing”, the system lists the position codes defined for the part in the “Maintain Component Configuration” activity of the “Configuration” business component. | |
Date Of Attachment |
The date on which the part is attached to the aircraft configuration (Date Format). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if the “Def. Date of Attachment” field is left blank. The date entered here must be earlier than or equal to the server date. |
Note: If you leave this field blank, the system updates the date from the “Def. Date of Attachment” field.
Fitment Comments |
Any general comments or remarks regarding the attachment of the part in the position code (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Click the “Edit Fitment” pushbutton to update the part fitment information.
The system performs the following:
Updates the new position code details, date of attachment, comments and the work order number, for the aircraft or component in the “Configuration” business component.
For the part serial number and lot number identified as part requirements for the Task, and if there exists a return slip, then the system updates the return quantity as zero in the “Create Return Slip” activity.
For the part serial number and lot number not identified as part requirement for the Task, and if there exists a return slip, then the system updates the return quantity as “1” in the “Create Return Slip” activity
Recording spare part attachment information – An overview
The quantity of parts consumed while executing a particular job in a work order or task is recorded in the “Record Parts Consumption Information” page. In this page, you can add or modify the position code details for the part of type “Expendable”.
The system displays the serial number and lot number of the part in the multiline and you can enter the position code where the serial number of the part is attached, and the date on which the part is attached to the position code. You are also provided with the option of specifying a default date for part attachment, while associating multiple parts to various position codes, in the multiline.
The system updates the details of the position codes for the part in the aircraft or component configuration depending upon the job type of the work order.
