Help on Work Group
This Help page allows you to search and select a work group and transfer the same to the field in which it is required.
You can carry out the search using the work group number, name, category, lead skill number, employee number and work center. The system retrieves all the work groups based on the search criteria entered. On confirmation, the selected work group is transferred to the required page.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Work Group #” field in the main page.
The “Help On Work Group” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a work group:
Work Group # |
The identifier for the work group that you need to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the work group number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work groups numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
Name |
The name of the work group that you need to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 77). You can enter the work group name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work groups name that are similar to the value entered here. |
Group Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the work group that you need to retrieve. The system lists all the “active” quick codes of type “Work Group Category” as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. The system retrieves all the work groups of the category specified here. |
Lead Skill # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the lead skill of the work group. The system lists all the “active” skill codes as defined in the “Maintain Skills” activity of the “HR Setup” business component. The system retrieves all the work groups for the skill code specified here. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee (Alphanumeric, 77). You can enter the employee name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work groups which contains the employee names that are similar to the value entered here. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center to which the work group is attached (Alphanumeric, 30). The system lists all the “active” work centers defined for the login user in the “Set Work Center – Access Privileges” activity of the “Work Center” business component. The system retrieves all the work groups associated to the work center specified here. |
Applicability |
Use the drop-down list box to select the applicability of the work group. The system lists the options “Line”, “Hangar” and “Line & Hangar”. |
Note: Leave all the fields blank to retrieve all the work groups defined in the system.
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to search for the work group.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the search criteria entered.
Work Group # |
The work group retrieved by the system. |
Name |
The name of the work group. |
Work Center # |
The work center to which the work group is attached. |
Lead Skill # |
The code that identifies the lead skill of the work group. |
Applicability |
Indicates the applicability of the work group, which could be “Line”, “Hangar” or “Line & Hangar”. |
Group Category |
The quick code category to which the work group belongs. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select a work group.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
