The system displays the following field in the “Next Schedule Details” group box on clicking the “Edit Deferral Limits” pushbutton:

Deferred Till Date

The date till which the work unit is deferred. The system displays the earliest date of the time based or usage-based deferral.

Note If the deferral type Is “MEL”, then ensure that the deferral limit does not exceed the MEL limits as identified in the MEL list for the aircraft model.

The system updates the details and calculates the date till which the work unit is deferred.

Note: The system calculates the deferral date as follows:

For time based schedules:

Deferred Till Date = Date of deferment request + Deferred By (Days).

For usage based schedules:

Deferred Till Date = Date of deferment request + ((value as on Deferment Req. Date+ Deferred Value) / Utilization Factor per day).

Modifying deferral limits for a maintenance report – An overview

This page enables you to specify the deferral limits for a work unit. You can modify the deferral limits for maintenance report, which is not in the “confirmed” status. You can specify deferral limits based on time, usage or both. In time-based deferral, you need to enter the number of days by which you want to defer the work unit. In usage-based deferral, you need to enter the parameter value by which you need to defer the work unit. The system displays flying cycles, flying hours, engine cycles and engine hours, as the parameters. On updating the modifications, the system calculates the date till which the work unit is deferred, based on the modified deferral limits.
