The "View Parameter Values" page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the "Claim Details" group box:

Warranty Claim #

The number identifying the component warranty claim for which the parameter details must be entered.

Claim Status

The status of the component warranty claim, which could be one of the following:

 
  • Fresh - when the warranty claim is created in "Create Component Warranty Claim" activity.

 
  • Confirmed - when the warranty claim is confirmed in "Edit Component Warranty Claim" activity.

 
  • Canceled - when the warranty claim is canceled in "Edit Component Warranty Claim" activity.

 
  • Released - when the warranty claim is released to the supplier in "Release Component Warranty Claim" activity.

 
  • Revised - when the released warranty claim is revised after getting feedback from the supplier in "Revise Component Warranty Claim" activity.

 
  • Pending Release - when the warranty claim is waiting for release after revision in "Revise Component Warranty Claim" activity.

 
  • Pre-Closed - when the warranty claim is pre-closed in "Freeze Component Warranty Claim" activity.

 
  • Freezed - when the warranty claim is freezed in "Freeze Component Warranty Claim" activity.

 
  • Closed - when the warranty claim is closed in "Close Component Warranty Claim" activity.

Description

The textual description of the component warranty claim.

Warranty Type

The warranty type for the part, which could be one of the following:

 
  • New - indicates that the supplier has given the warranty.

 
  • OEM - indicates that the OEM has given the warranty.

 
  • Overhaul - indicates that the supplier has given the warranty for overhaul.

 
  • Repair - indicates that the supplier has given the warranty for repair.

 

  • Ultimate Life – indicates that the warranty is given for entire life of  the component.

 

  • Mod  – indicates that the warranty is given for the modification done on the          component as suggested by MCR.

Part #

The part to which the component belongs.

Part Serial #

The serial number of the component.

Component #

The number identifying the component for which the claim is made.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Part Failed Date &Time

The failure date and time of the part

Note: The system retrieves the parameter values based on the values selected in the “Time Display Option” field in the “Aircraft” business component. For example, if the “Time Display Option” is selected as “HHMM” and if the stored value is 2.50, the system automatically converts and displays the value as 2.30.

The system displays the following fields in the "Parameter Details" multiline:

Parameter

The parameter based on which the warranty on the component is tracked.

Parameter Description

The textual description of the parameter.

UOM

The unit of measurement for the parameter.

Warranty Expiry Value

The terminating value of the parameter based on which the warranty expires.

Current Value

The current value of the parameter as retrieved from "Aircraft" business component.

Updated Value

The newly updated value of the parameter

Since Overhaul

The value of the parameter since the last overhaul.

Since Repair

The value of the parameter since the last repair.

Since Last Shop Visit

The value of the parameter since the last shop visit.

Since Inspection

Viewing parameter values for the claim - An overview

View Component Warranty Claim - A summary of the activity

The warranty on a component is tracked based on certain parameter values. These parameters are already defined and get updated in the "Aircraft" business component. You can enter the warranty parameter details for the component in the "Create Component Warranty Claim" activity.

The parameter, parameter description, unit of measurement, warranty expiry value, current value, updated value, value of the parameter since last overhaul, repair, inspection and shop visit are displayed in the multiline.
