Associating authorized repair shop to part warranty agreement
In this page, you can identify the repair shops that are authorized for performing the repair work on the part. Tell me more.
Select the “Associate Authorized Repair Shop” link in the “Create Part Warranty Agreement” or "Edit Part Warranty Agreement" page.
The “Associate Authorized Repair Shop” page appears.
The system displays the following details in the "Agreement Details" group box:
Agreement # |
The part warranty agreement to which the authorized repair shops must be associated. |
Amendment # |
The number identifying the amendment. This number is created when the part warranty agreement is amended after confirmation in the "Amend Part Warranty Agreement" activity. For an agreement in "Fresh" status, this field remains blank. |
Supplier # |
The supplier for which the part warranty agreement is created. |
Supplier Name |
The name of the supplier. |
Enter the following fields:

Use the drop-down list box to select the part to which the authorized repair shop must be associated (Alphanumeric, 40). The system lists the value “All” if the “Agreement Coverage” drop-down list box is set as “Parts Catalogue” in the main page. Else the system lists all the part numbers that are associated to the part warranty agreement; along with the value “All”. By default, the system displays “All”. |
Click the "Get Details" pushbutton, to retrieve the repair shop details.
The system displays the following field:

The system displays the repair shop details that are already defined for the part warranty agreement in the multiline.
Enter the following fields in the "Repair Shop Details" multiline, to add or modify the details:

Repair Shop # |
The code identifying the repair shop that is authorized to perform repair work on the part (Alphanumeric, 45). Mandatory. Ensure that the repair shop is already identified as a supplier of class "Repair Agency" in the "Supplier" business component, and is in "Active" status. |

Enter the following field:
Address ID |
The address ID of the repair shop (Alphanumeric, 40). Help Facility Available. |
The system displays the following field:
City |
The name of the city where the repair shop is located. |
State |
The name of the state to which the repair shop belongs. |
Country |
The name of the country to which the repair shop belongs. |
Enter the following field:
Remarks |
Any remark or comment pertaining to the repair shop association to the part warranty agreement (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the repair shop for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline to delete the selected repair shop.
Click the "Associate Repair Shop" pushbutton, to associate the repair shop to the part warranty agreement.
Note: Each part number listed in the part warranty agreement gets associated with a repair shop.
For those part warranty agreements that are created in “Draft” status and for which “In-House Repairable” is set as “Yes”, the system ensures that parameters are defined for the part numbers specified in the part warranty agreement or default warranty duration is specified for the agreement. The system changes the status of those agreements to “Fresh”.
The system updates the Repair Shop Details against all the parts specified in the agreement, if the “Agreement Coverage” is set as “Parts Catalogue”. If the “Agreement Coverage” is set as “Specific Parts”, and if repair Shop details are recorded with ‘Part #’ selected as ‘All’, then the system inherits the repair shop details to the individual parts for which the repair shop details are not available.
Associating authorized repair shop to part warranty agreement - An overview
The suppliers that are identified as "Repair Agency" in the "Supplier" business component can be termed as "Repair Shop".
You can enter the details such as repair shop number, the warranty type and the remarks in the multiline. These details can be entered with respect to a part number for a warranty type and associated to the part warranty agreement.

The repair shop that is authorized to repair the component can be identified. You can select the part and enter repair shop details such as the repair shop number, the warranty type and additional comments. The repair shop is then associated to the part warranty agreement.
Enter the repair shop number in the "Repair Shop #" field in the "Repair Shop Details" multiline.
Enter the warranty type and additional remarks, if any, in the multiline.
Click the "Associate Repair Shop" pushbutton, to associate the repair shops to the part warranty agreement.
