Note: The “Default Warranty Duration” or “Parameter” must have been entered for the selected part number.
For those part warranty agreements that are created in “Draft” status and for which “In-House Repairable” is set as “Yes”, the system ensures that parameters are defined for the part numbers specified in the part warranty agreement or default warranty duration is specified for the agreement. The system changes the status of those agreements to “Fresh”.
Note: If the “In-House Repairable” for the part warranty agreement is set as “No”, the system ensures that a repair shop number is defined for each of the part number specified in the part warranty agreement.
Note: If no repair shop number is defined for the part, the system updates the status of the part warranty agreement to “Draft”.
For the warranty type selected, the system updates the default warranty duration, warranty value and the parameter against all the parts specified in the agreement, if the “Part #” drop-down list box is set as “All”. The system inherits the Warranty Type, Default Warranty Duration, Warranty Value and the Parameter set for the parts when Part # is set to “All”, to the corresponding parts in the agreement, if the warranty duration and warranty value are not available for those parts.
Note: The parameter values are updated only if the parameters are mapped to the parts and if the “Warranty Tracking” for those parameters is set as “Yes” in the “Aircraft” business component.
The system updates the “Last Modified By” with the login ID of the user and the “Last Modified Date” with the current server date.
