Use the drop-down list box to select the warranty type for the part. The system lists the options "New", "OEM", "Overhaul"  "Repair","Ultimate life" and "Mod". The system retrieves the component warranty reference documents that are of the type selected here.

Part #

The part to which the component belongs (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all component warranty reference documents that have the part number entered here.

Part Serial #

The serial number of the component for which the component warranty is created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part serial number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all component warranty reference documents with the part serial number entered here.

Component #

The number identifying the component for which the component warranty reference document is created (Alphanumeric, 90). Warranty Reference #

The warranty reference document created for the component.

Warranty Type

The warranty type for the part, which could be "New", "OEM", "Overhaul",  "Repair", "Ultimate Life" or "Mod".

 
  • New - indicates that the warranty is given by the supplier

 
  • OEM - indicates that the warranty given by the OEM.

 
  • Overhaul - indicates that the warranty is given for the overhaul

 

  • Repair - indicates that the warranty is given for the repair

 

  • Ultimate Life – indicates that the warranty is given for entire life of  the component.

 

  • Mod  – indicates that the warranty is given for the modification done on the          component as suggested by MCR.

Comments

Any additional information pertaining to the warranty for the component (Alphanumeric, 255).

Source

The source from which the part is purchased.

Part #

The part to which the component belongs.

Part Serial #

The serial number of the component for which the component warranty reference document is created.

Component #

The number of the component for which the component warranty reference document is created.

ATA #

The ATA chapter to which the component belongs.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Supplier #

The code of the supplier who provides the warranty coverage.

Supplier Name

The name of the supplier who provides the warranty coverage.

Component Type

Selecting component warranty for creating claim - An overview

Create Component Warranty - summary of the activity

The warranty claim is a document created for raising claim on the defective component, with reference to the warranty coverage details specified in the 'Component Warranty'.

You can carry out a search based on the warranty reference number, the warranty type, part number, part serial number, component ID, ATA chapter number, part description, component type, supplier code and the supplier name.
