The “Status Mapping” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the Enterprise Modeling business component by default.

Stock Status

Use the drop down list box to select the stock status for which you want to set the Conversion and Alternate attributes.  to map it to another UDSS. The system lists the system-defined as well as the user-defined stock status that have "Active" status in the list box.

The system displays the following.

Stock Status Description

The textual description of the selected UDSS.

The system lists all the predefined and user defined stock statuses in the “Status Mapping” multiline.

Stock Status

The stock status that can be used as an alternative or to which you can covert another stock status. The system lists the system-defined as well user-defined stock status with the Active status in this column.

Conversion Permitted?

Use the drop-down list box to set the Conversion attribute of the stock status. Select,

  • “Yes” to allow conversion of the stock status you selected in the “Stock Status Identification Details” group box to the stock status displayed in the Stock Status column.

  • “No” to disallow conversion of the stock status you selected in the “Stock Status Identification Details” group box to the stock status displayed in the Stock Status column.

Alternate?

Use the drop-down list box to set the Alternate attribute of the stock status. Select,

  • “Yes” to set the stock status as a substitute for the stock status you have selected in the “Stock Status Identification Details” group box.

  • “No” to disallow the stock status to be a substitute for the stock status you have selected in the “Stock Status Identification Details” group box.

Ensure that this field is set as “No” if the stock status in the header and in the multiline is “Consignment” and the ownership of the stock status in the header is neither “Internal” nor “Customer”.

Order Of Preference

The order of priority for the alternate stock status, such as 1, 2, 3…

The order of preference facilitates the system to allocate the alternate stock status, if you have specified multiple alternate stock statuses.  For example, the stock status with the highest order of preference i.e., ‘1’ is picked up as the first alternate. If this stock status is invalid or unavailable, the stock status with the order of preference set to ‘2’ is sought and so on.

Note: You must set the “Conversion Permitted?” field to “Yes” under following conditions:

a) When the stock status in the header and the stock status in the multiline have the same Ownership Attribute.

b) When the ownership attribute of stock statuses are different, the status mapping for conversions across ownership can happen only between the following,

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box.

Allowing status mapping – An overview

Edit User Defined Stock Status - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to set the pattern for UDSS conversion. You can map the selected UDSS to any one of the UDSS, which have been defined earlier. The system lists all the predefined and user defined stock statuses in the multiline, from which you can select the UDSS to which the selected UDSS can be converted. This is verified while recording transactions where the stock status is actually modified.

For example, the "Consignment" UDSS must be mapped to the "PBH" UDSS in this page, to allow the stock status to be converted from "Consignment" to "PBH" while recording transactions.

The system stores the login user ID and the server date along with the other modified details.
